I thought I have nothing to lose but Noah was the only one who came to see me in jail. He talked to me for hours helping me feel relieved. He is my best friend and I can't trust Stephan. I have to act like his slave for the moment until I find a way to safeguard Noah. Noah and Stephan were best of friends but then I am not sure of what exactly changed and I better find it out.
Also, when Stephan had a backup plan after his resignation from the post of CEO then I am pretty sure, he hasn't lost everything he owned. He still have a lot in his control.
I gave Stephan food and to my surprise, he asked me to sit with him. He was finally calm and I could sense it. I have to meet Noah and explain him the situation. I have to help him prepare a plan to escape the grip of Stephan and hence I in a very low pleasing tone asked Stephan,
"Can I ask you something master?", I said.
He nodded chewing a big lump of bread and was unable to speak.
"I want to go and meet Noah once because I owe him a lot of money. I.....",
Before I could explain further, Stephan at once brought his cheque book from his pocket and signed it. He then threw the book towards me and said,
"Fill in the amount so that you won't have to see him again", he said.
I was stunned as well as satisfied. At least I got the confirmation that Stephan is still the boss and any amount on this cheque book won't affect him. However, I have to warn Noah. Maybe this would be my last meeting with him. I filled in a million dollar amount and wrapped up my work with cleaning the dishes.
Stephan has allowed me to carry this cheque myself on a condition that he will accompany me to the "Tyrant Groups". I quickly got ready and stood in front of him. He was staring me like hell. Maybe he was offended with my makeup but his look didn't seem to be offended. Now, we both don't have a vehicle so maybe he have booked a taxi.
We stood at the entrance of the house for half a minute in a deadly silence that I cannot explain. It was even difficult to breathe when people who passed by looked at us, especially Stephen who was..... or seemed like a billionaire till yesterday and today he was ready to take up a taxi with me.
I STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND, WHAT PART OF ME CONVINCED HIM TO PUBLICALLY RESIGN AND ACCEPT MY CHALLENGE.
Whatever I thought was all in vain because after thirty seconds, a black porsche stood in front of the gate followed by another porsche. The driver was no one but Stephan's younger brother. He left the first porsche and walked towards the other. Stephan took the driver's seat and I sat beside him.
This was actually a scheme and I thought that I am winding him into poverty. How can I be so stupid. This man is still a Richard. He still belongs to the family of billionaire's and I can't even blame him here of going against my challenge. I sighed in defeat and he kept driving in deadly silence.
We reached at the entrance of Tyrant Group's main office and ofcourse Stephan was not welcomed by the watchman.
"Only madam is allowed to enter", the watchman said.
The entire world is blind. They actually feel that this beast would let go of his empire so easily. I feel sorry for the watchman because he was just doing his duty. I didn't look at Stephan and was about to enter the main building when I heard the cruel monsterous voice,
"Slave....?"
I froze where I stood. The ugly part was I was the centre of attraction and I don't want to mess this all up. I at once took a step back and stood behind Stephan bowing my head in front of him. I was definitely not interested in calling him master here but I was not willing to get abused publically either.
Stephan looked at me and pulled up my chin. He checked my collar with his hands and said in a playful yet loud voice,
"your leash must have loosened. Its better that you know your position now", he said.
Whispers accelerated at once and even the guard is now laughing at me. I was embarassed and felt rotten. However, to save my point one percent reputation, I neither did apologize nor called him master. I preffered silence until I heard the friendly voice,
"Josalina....?", Noah came from the office.
He was wearing a grey tuxedo suit that looks great on his blonde hairs. I felt releived but I didn't move a step though my body was aching to go and hug him.
"Don't you people have work? What the hell are you guys doing here?", he screamed at the whispering employees.
I was feeling happy. Atleast there is someone who loves me and cares for me truly. When I was accused of killing Stephan's father five years ago, Noah was the only person who believed that I can't murder anyone. My own boyfriend blamed me but Noah stood by me. i am very greatful to have Noah in my life and hence I can't let anything happen to him.
Noah quickly walked out of the gate and approached me.
"Josalina... are you fine?", he asked.
I smiled and nodded yes.
Suddenly, Noah hugged me. It was filled with warmth and I could feel tears in my eyes. I wanted to hug him back but for Noah's safety, I have to keep distance from him.
"Thank the lord, I was so scared", he said and left me.
It was a small hug but it was relieving. Noah finally turned towards Stephan and shook hands with him. If it was for five years ago, they would have hugged each other tight but now it felt like a formal business meeting. Stephan was taller and he looked at Noah with anger. His gaze was sharp and piercing. I could feel the cold by his looks itself. Noah was about to leave Stephan's hands but Stephan tightened his grip and said in a cold voice,
"This will be the last time you will see her and toch her. She is my property now."
Noah looked at me and definitely was expecting me to revolt but I could say nothing. I lowered my head feeling ashamed and held Noah's hand. I took the cheque and placed it in his hand.
"Bye Noah.... thank you for everything", I said and turned.
Stephan followed me and we both sat in the car. I could feel my tears overflowing and I can surely not face Noah with them. I sniffed as I sat in the car and Stephan at once gave me his handkercheif. He raced the accelerator and we started moving.
I knew I wont be able to say anything about the plan to Noah so I had already prepared a paper with my note on it and I gave it with the cheque to Noah. The note said,
"I know this is difficult but I request you to find a safe place. Stephan still have a lot of wealth and many evil connections. I am sorry, our plan failed but I still owe you more than this million. You have always been my best friend which is why I want you to move to a different place. You have already gained a top position in five years and I know you can do it again. Stephan is dangerous and he is after you. Please, for me..... run Noah... run"
