“What’s wrong?” Vito asked as I walked outside the room.

“Nothing. Can we go home now?” I didn’t want to talk about what had just happened.

“We’ll have to wait for Damon first. I think she broke up with him. He is out making arrangements for someone else to look after her for the moment.”

We sat for a few more minutes before Damon arrived with two other men. They looked familiar. I had seen them at the stash house the last time I went there.

“They’ll watch her. Let’s go home.” I followed Damon and Vito out of the hospital. We got into the car and drove off to the house.

I couldn’t help but wonder how Damon was feeling about the whole situation. “Are you good?” I asked him.

“No, but I’ll be fine. I just want to give her some space. I’ll check up on her later.” He responded without giving off any emotions.

We got to the house and as the door swung open, Palma and Minna dashed over to Damon wrapping him in big, tight hugs.
