STEPHEN'S POV

After spending the night wallowing in self pity, I had to get up in the morning to the presence of the sun I wish would kill itself, and the resounding sound of people shouting from downstairs.

It took the grace of the moon goddess only that I was able to force my body out of bed, only to trip on the rug on my bedside and land on the floor face first — but of course, not before my forehead took the liberty of hitting itself against the edge of my bedside drawer.

Defeatedly, I laid on the floor, my face buried into the decked wood before I turned my head to a more comfortable position, my cheek squished against the cold floor as I stared blankly at under my bed.

God, today was already off to a bad start. And there was a feeling in my chest that it was going to get much worse.

Hopefully though, what ever would happen would only affect me and not Baekalis or any member of the pack.
