It’s already past six when Nelson finally stepped out of his room fully dressed and ready for the date. He took the stairs by the right up to his mothers room to ask her if she was contented with what he wore. He knocked three times before entering her room after he heard a “come in”.
“Hey mum, how do I look?” Nelson asked his mum, which made her look up from the book she was reading. Looking at her son she felt so blessed that he could look so handsome without even having to do much. Nelson was putting on a navy blue pant trouser, a black body hug round neck, showing off his perfectly built and chiseled chest, a blue stripped suit and a white sneakers. He also wore a silver wrist watch and a silver neck chain and brushed his hair up in curls.
“You look absolutely dashing son” His mum said after taking in every detail of his dressing.
“Well thank you mum, it’s almost seven so I’d be heading out now to pick Eva up” Nelson said checking himself one last time in the dressing mirror before finally turing towards the door to take his leave.
“Alright son, enjoy your date. And I hope you like her after tonight” His mum said, picking up her book and watching her son leave.
“I hope so too “ He answered back.
“I really do hope so too” He repeated, but this time, to himself.

”You should have called me to follow you shopping Amie, don’t you know that you would be working for the hottest most eligible bachelor in the whole of the country? These clothes are really nice but a little boring if you ask me” Dianna said after checking all the outfits Amie bought at the mall.“What do you mean boring Dee? I know it’s because I didn’t get exposing clothes to seduce my boss that’s why you called these clothes boring.” Amie said.
“Yes of course. Your skirts should have been way shorter and the shirts, they should at least show little cleavage don’t you think. You’d be working with the hottest man, shouldn’t you spice up your dressing ?” Dianna said, feeling disappointed in her friend’s modesty.
“Well, I don’t think so Dee. Leave my clothes alone. Maybe after I get my first pay, I’ll go back to the mall and get new, sexy wears, okay?” Amie said to calm her friend down.
“Fine, but don’t forget to call me to follow you. You have a very bad taste when it comes to choosing outfits for yourself, but you can choose outfit for someone else” Dee said, trying to make jest of her friends naivety.
“Alright, I’ve heard you ma’am” Amie said, putting the clothes back into her closet before making the move to go downstairs to start preparing dinner as her parents and siblings would soon be back.
“Let’s go downstairs Dee. Come help me with the cooking” Amie said, dragging her friend downstairs.

” We’re here boss” Henry said stopping right outside the villa of the Lozanos.
“Here she comes. How do I look?” Nelson asked his driver.
“You look handsome boss” Henry replied.
Eva Lozano is the only child of a rich business tycoon named Richard Lozano, and she is a very beautiful girl with blonde hair. She is a little tall and slender, and has the perfect legs for a model. She was putting on a short wine dress, which has a little slit by the side, with a black strap on heels and carried a black and silver purse which accentuates the silver accessories she had on. She had on a light make-up and a wine lipstick which further compliments her cat like eyes and her perfectly shaped mouth.
“My God, she’s so beautiful” Nelson said in utmost awe, as he stares up at the woman walking towards him.
“After you my lady” He said to her, holding the car door for her to get in.
“Thank you she replied, getting into the car while Nelson shuts the door gently.
“Take us to Pastiche “ Nelson said to Henry immediately he entered
the car, taking his seat next to Eva who was busy blushing at his kindness.
And with that, Henry started the engine and drove out of the compound. On their way to Pastiche, Nelson tried to make small talks with Eva which led them to discussing their different types of jobs and the stress that came with it. Before they knew it, Henry was pulling up in the parking lot of the restaurant and as he initially did, Nelson got out of the car and went round to open the door for Eva to step out, holding her hand in his.
They walked into the restaurant hand in hand, and approached a waitress who already knew who they were and showed them to the VIP room where Nelson had booked for the dinner date.
“This way ma’am, sir” Betty, the waitress said, taking them into the VIP room to get seated. After they had taken their seats, she presented the menu and they both ordered what they wanted.
“ We’ll have the 6 Mainly Meat Based Dishes, with a bottle of Bourbon wine” Nelson said to the waitress after getting the consent of Eva.
“ Alright sir, your dish would be here in a few minutes” The waitress replied, walking out of the room.
Their food came in after fifteen minutes and they dug in almost immediately, as they were already hungry.
“So how has your relationship life been?” Asked Eva while still eating.
“Who? Me? Woah, I’ve never been in a serious relationship with any woman. My work is literally my woman.” Nelson said
“Wow, so I should count myself lucky to have your attention?” Eva asked.
“Well, not exactly. My mum was the one who insisted we do this, so I think the credit goes to my mum” Nelson said, chuckling.
“Yeah right, I almost forgot. You’re a very handsome man, and the top list most eligible bachelor, I think I should flatter myself because you choose to be with me” Eva said, trying to play the couple card.
“Well I only agreed to having dinner with you to see if I get to like the vibe and wanna pursue a relationship with you. So let’s not get ahead of ourselves and take things slow instead” Nelson said, taking a sip from his glass.
“Alright then, if you say so. I was thinking we were already dating since you came to pick me up when I could have driven here myself and you even held the door for me to get in and come out when we got here, so I felt there was already a sort of chemistry between us” Eva said without mincing her words.
“I see” was all Nelson managed to say as he was dumbfounded and struck at the audacity and stupidity of the woman siting in front of him.
"That was just gentleman stuff, does she really have no idea or she's playing dumb" he thought.
The rest of the dinner was spent in an awkward silence with Eva flashing flirtatious smiles at Nelson thinking he would reconsider after a few smiles but he kept giving dead responses so she got the cue and stopped. After the meal, Nelson pushed the card for them to go home.
“If you’re done with your meal, let me go and drop you off” He said to Eva standing up and motioning for her to follow suit.
“Alright, I’m done” She replied, standing up from her seat, walking out of the restaurant with Nelson.
Getting to the car, Nelson held the door while she got in and told the driver to drive straight to the Lozano villa to drop Eva off. The drive was spent mostly in silence, as Nelson only made small talks about business with Eva. Upon getting to her house, he came down and held the door for Eva to get down and placed a very light kiss on her cheek.
“Thank you for tonight. I enjoyed myself with you” He lied.
“You’re welcome. I hope we get to do this again soon” Eva said, believing his lie.
“Yeah I hope so too” He said, before getting into the car, signaling for Henry to take him home.
“So boss, do you like her enough to want to date her? Henry asked.
“Hell no!! She’s definitely not my type of woman” Nelson replied, sinking into the seat to take a quick nap before they arrive home. After what seemed like an eternity, they finally arrived home.
"Wake up boss, we’re home” Henry said opening the door for his boss.
“Thank you Henry, see you on Monday. Goodnight” Nelson responded walking into his mansion, heading straight for his room.
“I’ll talk to mum in the morning, for now I need to sleep” He said to himself as he managed to change his clothes before getting into bed and turning off the bedside lamp.
The following day,Nelson woke up to the noise of clashing pots coming from the kitchen. Initially, he didn’t want to stand up from the bed but the noise kept coming from the kitchen and he was wondering why the cooks were being loud with the cooking today. Dragging himself lazily from the bed, he stood up, wore his robe and stepped out of his room, taking the stairs down to the kitchen to see what was going on. Upon entering the kitchen, he saw that it was his mum who was cooking while the cooks were doing the dishes which caused the noises of clashing pots that he was hearing from his room.“Good morning mum” He greeted.“Good morning son” She replied.“Good morning sir” Mariam, the head cook greeted.“Good morning Mariam, well done”“How was your night?” She added almost immediately.“My night was okay, but I had the dream again mum, and this time, it was way scarier the last one. If you ask me mum, I’m really tired of having these dreams. It messes with my head and makes me have sle
Waking up very early, Amelia did her house chores, cooked breakfast for the family and ate before going to her room to prepare for work. It was finally Monday and the first day at her new job and she was very nervous but also happy that she finally got an office job that was decent enough and the pay was good. So she got ready in a hurry and rushed downstairs to get her keys.“How do I look mum?” She asked her mother who was packing lunch for her sons in the kitchen.“You look amazing my love. I wish you a very productive day ahead and I hope your new boss is nice and he gets to like your work” Her mum replied giving her a peck on the cheeks.“Thanks mum, I’ll see you later” She replied before picking up her keys and leaving the house. It was six thirty when Amelia left the house. She knew she had to leave on time so she could get to work on time as she was told the day she had her interview that her boss does not like any form of lateness and she was to resume seven-thirty sharp. A
“So, tell me Mr Nelson, is the building to your taste?” Mrs Vanessa asked as they were standing in the garden, after taking Nelson and his assistant around the hotel. “Well I love the building, though I’d be changing some structures to suit the theme, but the garden stays” Nelson replied. “Alright then, no problem. Nice doing business with you Mr Nelson” Mrs Vanessa said, shaking hands with him to show gratitude. “And your assistant is a very wonderful person. She organized the lunch meeting and I loved it” Mrs Vanessa complimented. “Thank you, she’s new and she’s been doing well since she walked into my office this morning “ Nelson replied looking in the direction of his assistant who was standing by the jeep, waiting for him. “Nice, enjoy the rest of your evening Mr Nelson” Mrs Vanessa said, before giving him a side hug. “You too Mrs Vanessa” Nelson replied, returning the hug before walking towards his already awaiting car. “ Nice job Miss Roberts. You did well today” Nelson
“Urgggh, please, work and then fall in love with him too. I mean, you should be in a relationship right now don’t you think?” Bridget said, before opening the fridge to get a bottle of water.“Well, I’m not ready, when my man comes, I’ll get into a relationship with him then. For now, I need to work and pay for your tuition” Amie said.“Yeah right, thank you so much for always looking out for us but you should also look out for yourself, don’t you think” Bridget said out of concern for her big sister.“I will do that when I can finally relax, and that is when you graduate from school, so leave me let me face my work, while you make us proud” Amie said.“Excuse me girls I need to use the rest-room” Their mum said and then walked out of the kitchen.“Did Sam and Micah bring home the note we instructed them to bring?”Amie asked Bridget, lowering her voice.Yes and our suspision is right. It’s Christian’s handwriting on both papers. I’ve kept the notes on your reading table in your room”
“Wow, so you mean you’ve not been in any serious relationship after Beverly?” Anna asked.“Well no I haven’t. She left me shattered and since then I lost my hope in any form of relationship. Besides I do not believe in love anymore so I’d rather work my ass out than fall in love. But the thing is my mum wouldn’t let me hear the end of it. She keeps setting up blind dates for me with her friends daughters. I’m tired. I think I’d have to consider a contract marriage with the way things are going” Nelson said. “Wow. Tell me about it. My parents have also been on my neck to get married, but then my boyfriend and I ain’t ready to” Anna told Nelson.“Is it a must to get married? Because me I’m not even ready for that phase of life and I don’t think I’ll be ready in five years” Nelson said, picking up his glass of wine and taking a sip. “Come on. Love is not that bad. Fine it comes with it’s complications and difficulties but once you find the right person for you, things become very easy.
Amelia woke up as early as five o’clock to do her chores and cooking breakfast for her family before getting ready for work. As at six thirty-five, she was ready for work, dressed in a short wine skirt with a pink and white stripped crop shirt to go with it and black heels and a black bag to match. She packed her hair in a pony tail and wore a silver wrist watch on her left wrist and a silver bangle on the right, with a silver butterfly necklace and earrings to match. After dashing down the stairs and picking her key off the table, she kissed her mum who was outside wetting the flowers in the garden, goodbye, she walked to the bus station and got on the bus which took her into town and after alighting from the bus, she took a taxi to work. Getting to work at 7:15 she signed in with her identity card and made her way for the elevator which took her to the 20th floor where her office is. Reaching her desk she cleans the dust on both her chair and her desk before sitting down and say
“It’s time for the meeting sir, everyone is seated in the conference room waiting for you” Amelia said immediately she stepped into her boss’s office.“Alright, Let’s go” Nelson said, standing up from his chair walking out of his office with his personal assistant following right behind him. They took his private elevator, stopping on the floor that had the conference room.Upon entering the conference room he walked straight to his seat at the head of the table.“Thank you everyone for coming. Welcome Mr Peters. Thank you for choosing my company” Nelson said immediately he got seated in his chair.***********” Here is your coffee sir, do enjoy” Dee said to the man standing in front of her, handing him his coffee. It was already one thirty and it was already past Diana’s end of shift. After she sorted her coffee orders, she handed over to Sarah and went to the back room to get her things as her boyfriend was already waiting outside for her.“Hey baby|” Dee said to her boyfriend immed
“Welcome Mr Nelson, your suit is ready. If you could please follow me, I’d lead you to the fitting room.” Miss Lily, the CEO of Lilies Fashion House said to Nelson immediately he walked in, beaming with smiles as she has always had a thing for him since she started designing his suits three years ago, but nothing has ever happened between them as it was obvious Nelson didn’t see her as a woman he’d like to be in a relationship with.“Alright, find an evening dress for my assistant too. I want something pretty classy and enticing as she’d be going with me to the business dinner on Friday” Nelson said as he was following her to the back room to avoid the paparazzi who are always on his tail.Immediately Nelson instructed Lily to find a perfect evening dress for his assistant, she shot Amelia a very mean stare as she was not happy that a common assistant would be following him to such a high class business dinner. Since she became his designer, she has been aware of the fact that Nelson
