I want her in that role

He typed out, "This is Icarus."

Sophia typed and backspaced for a few times before finally texting, "Where is Kiara?"

"Asleep." The man said before sending his number. He added, "This is my number, call me in this."

After Sophia agreed he deleted the conversation, placed the phone back and headed upstairs.

Sophia texted him on his number immediately, prompting him to call her. His cold voice rang in the phone, "What is it?"

Sophia was shuddering on the other side of the phone, even though they were classmates in school, she had never had a proper conversation with him even for once. The girl mustered up some courage and said, "Kiara is going through a problem which you can help her with but I don't know if she will be happy to get you involved."

Icarus's beautiful eyes hinted at a sense of loneliness when he heard her words but they were blinked away as he replied, "It's okay, she doesn't have to know. What is it?"

"That…" The manager proceeded to narrate everything to Icarus, how Daphne was sabotaging Kiara's chances to make a debut and how she will have to give up if she doesn't do something now, "I suggested to her that we ask help from you but she snapped at me."

Icarus was silently listening to her speak, he seemed normal and unaffected but his eyes, which were gradually turning redder and colder, said otherwise.

Becoming an actress was her lifelong dream and she was in such a dire situation now. This wasn't a huge matter for him, if he wanted he would just buy the whole production and land her the role of the lead actress itself. But that stubborn girl would rather let go of her dream than ask for his help…

Did she really hate him that much?

"Alpha Vuron? Are you there?" Sophia asked when she received no response from the other side, making the man snap out of his thought process.

"Yes, I am." He replied in a low voice.

"So? What do you say?" Sophia asked a little nervously, she wasn't sure that someone as busy as Icarus would bother himself with such minute things but to her surprise he agreed. He said, "You will get the contract for the movie tomorrow morning. No need to tell her that I am involved."

"Thank you so much, Alpha Icarus. It is really kind of you."

The man didn't reply and proceeded to hang up the phone. His eyes were cold and brimming with wraith, he opened G****e and searched for the Daphne Sophia has told her about. There were limited results about her but Alpha Icarus was done just by scrolling through them. He had a rough idea who she was and who the person backing her was as well; honestly, he did not need to know any of this as he knew he was the unrivalled king of this city.

Even though it was the middle of the night, he called Luke. The latter had just fallen asleep with two Russian chicks in his arms. When his phone rang, he was quite annoyed. He picked up the phone and said, "Alpha, it's literally 2 of the morning."

"The cast of the movie which she auditioned for is out." Alpha Icarus ignored his complaints and spoke up.

"Is that so?" Luke lit up his cigarette and made his way to the balcony. The cool breeze of the night shimmering by the moonlight hit his face as he asked, "What about it now?'

"She isn't selected."

"What are you saying? But she gave such a good performance." The man was honestly surprised to learn how Kiara wasn't selected; she managed to amaze him along with all the judges and even garnered positive reviews from them for her stellar performance.

Icarus said, "I want her in that role by the afternoon."

Luke's voice turned serious as he nodded, "I will work right on it."

After hanging up the phone Icarus also called his assistant and Beta- Robin, who picked up his phone just after three rings. Icarus asked him to investigate this rookie actress and her rich boyfriend before hanging up.

Icarus wasn't the least bit sleepy, so he went down to his wine cellar to help himself with a few drinks. He sat down in the lonely room and filled up his glass, taking gradual sips of it.

His wolf, Strix, asked him slowly, "What are you thinking about?"

Icarus didn't answer his questions and proceeded to chug down the liquor staring into the void. Strix stayed mum for a while, he had been with him for ten years now and was well versed with him. He could roughly guess what he was thinking about and asked, "Are you not happy?"

"What is there to get happy about?" Icarus finally replied with a counter question.

Strix replied, "Well, you have her by your side as you wanted. You also took the position of the Alpha despite being the youngest."

"What are you trying to say, Strix?"

"I am saying you overpowered your brother as you wanted. Are you still not satisfied?"

Icarus's eyes turned more gloomy when he heard Strix's words.

To be better than his elder brother- this was the only goal of his life. He worked day and night, pushed himself through every kind of limit to take everything that originally belonged to his brother, Darren. He was now the Alpha of his pack, he also didn't spare the company and took it for himself as well but… But has his situation gotten any better now?

He clicked open his phone and opened Darren's chat, the latter had sent him a bunch of photos this morning which he hadn't opened since he was busy. Icarus downloaded them to see that it was just another set of photos of his brother partying somewhere.

Darren seemed unaffected by what had happened, in fact, he was happy for Icarus that he turned out to be this capable.

Icarus's grip on his glass tightened as he scrolled through the images which featured a handsome young man in flamboyant clothing; even though the two looked extremely similar there was something about their aura which differentiated them. The young man's eyes were shining as a wide grin was plastered on his face.

"I don't understand… I have everything I ever wanted but still I am not happy." Icarus muttered slowly, making his wolf keep quiet as well.

Icarus ended up finishing two whole bottles of wine till daybreak but nothing seemed to ease down the agony he was feeling. While he was up all night, he managed to do everything necessary for Kiara. He had talked to the higher officials of the movie who could not turn him down. Preparation to terminate the contract already signed with Daphne had started and Kiara's manager too was informed about the good news by the producer himself.

Sophia was extremely happy and amazed how Icarus had managed to do something this huge overnight. She thanked him tons before wanting to call Kiara but was stopped by the man who told her that he didn't want her sleep to be disturbed.

The Alpha was a heavy drinker and had an extremely high alcohol tolerance, even after taking down two whole bottles of wine he was fit and fine. He went upstairs to take a shower and get ready to go to the company.

Meanwhile, Kiara woke up and found the blanket on her. She looked around to see that it was already morning and the housekeepers had already started to clean the house. She assumed that it must be Chloe who put the blanket on her and headed upstairs. She slowly pushed open the door to see that the bed was empty; she furrowed her eyebrows- did he leave already?

Her heart sprouted with happiness as she could have the room all to herself now; she tossed the blanket on the bed and headed towards the bathroom. What she did not expect was to see a naked Icarus in the shower as soon as she opened the door.
