Does He Deserve It?
Koin
Koin was woken up by a brought older man shaking his shoulder gently "Hey? hey...come on now. you alright?"No. He wasn't. His head was throbbing. What the fuck was that? And more importantly...what had he done?He shook the old man off "Fine." he grunted out but froze in place. The most intoxicating scent flooded his senses. Like deep wild forest, like thunderstorms and moss...*Mate. * His wolf Azier raged At him.Not only had he assaulted that poor girl and threatened to kill her, but she was his mate.He realized after a moment the guy was still watching him, and he pushed past to stagger out into the hall and take a look around. The school was empty, the clock signaling it was evening, nearly 5.
He had been unconscious the whole day?He felt like he couldn't move anymore. Then the enraged voice of his father came through the pack mind link *KOIN!! ANSWER ME OR I SHALL HAVE A SEARCH PARTY ON YOUR TAIL!!*He shivered a bit swallowing back the bitter taste caught in his throat *I’m. I’m sorry...* Was all he could manage for a moment. It was his mother that replied *Where are you? are you hurt? *Koin knew he needed to tell them something.
But...the truth?Hurting your mate was unthinkable. And he was meant to someday rule over a pack? How could he not have known she was his mate?what was she?at barley 5'5 She had knocked him out, and for hours at that. His father broke the silence again *KOIN!!* he boomed.Koin sighed deeply *I'm at the school. I’m...* He didn't want to say fine. He was far from fine.It was like he had torn his own heart out and stomped on it.
*Connor, do you have my truck? * Connor had his own car of course, but considering they both lived in the pack house and went everywhere together Koin always drove.*Yeah man, already on my way. *Koin let out a sigh of relief. No matter what happened to him, he needed to tell them.
He needed to divulge the truth, no matter the consequences. After all, if he couldn't control himself did, he deserve to be alpha? He wandered slowly towards the doors. Her amazing scent had been trapped in the little closet, but it had long since faded from the rest of the school. He hung his head as he made his way out to the parking lot where Connor already waited in his truck. He was about to slide into the passenger seat when he realized Koin was heading for his door.He swallowed and watched quietly as Koin slid in and let out a long sigh, laying his head back against the seat.
"Dude...what..what the fuck happened? everyone's been looking for you? you missed the whole day? your dad's pissed."Koin inhaled slowly "I.. I’m going to explain...but..I need to tell my parents too. So." Connor nodded still watching him as if some clue were hidden in Koins features. He didn't ask anything else, just started the drive home.Finding your mate was supposed to be one of the best moments of your life. The second your soul finds it's missing half and you become your true self, centered and strong, anchored to the most perfect creature the universe could create, just for you. Your meant to protect your mate at all costs, mind body and soul.
What had he done?Connor went in before him, and he was grateful for that. Just a few seconds passed as he staired at the house.Did he deserve to be alpha? He realized that he had never questioned it before.just trained and prepared.Learned and fought and worked.But..does being strong and smart mean he would be a good alpha at all?A good alpha wouldn't hurt people the way he has for no real reason, certainly not their mate.
His chest felt hallow and full of an all-consuming fire all at once, yet he still made his way inside. He loved his home; his mother was just one of those people who knew how to make it warm and welcoming. She didn't use smelly wax cubes or those perfumy room sprays. When the house smelt nice it was usually because she had something in the water on the stove, orange peels or cinnamon sticks, something like that. The furniture and floors were all dark wood tones, throw blankets and we'll used pillows tossed on chairs and couches.*We're out back dear. * His mom sent out, and he made his way to the back door.
They all sat on the large deck leading to the back yard, His dad looked angry still, of course. Connor however was talking animatedly to his mom who looked up to him as he stepped out and smiled. He swallowed hard, somehow finding it worse to tell his mother how he's behaved. His dad was the alpha, he should fear him more but, his calm patient mother being disappointed in him somehow scared him more. They all 3 watched him as he moved to sit, and his father sat up straighter "Well? explain yourself?" He demanded. Dedrick Entropy was a massive man, all alphas we're larger than regular men or wolves in either form, but Dedrick like his father and grandfather, was larger than most alphas as well. Like Koin he had black hair, but his eyes were a pricing blue, and Koin took after his mother in that way.
Koin swallowed back the rock lodged in his throat "I.. uhm..I've..felt very off..the past almost week."Connor nodded chuckling "Some girl put him off his game."
His mother smiled a little at that, but his father had Laser focus targeted directly at Koin. Koin closed his eyes a moment "I've..felt out of control..and I didn't..understand why."Connor shrugged "I thought she was his mate."Koins felt his chest restrict a bit more at Connors words "But..I couldn't smell her..like at all..I couldn’t. Even tell if she was human..or.."he shook his head trying to clear his thoughts a bit "The..more I tried to find out about her, well..her name was wrong..her address..the numbers she gave so..I...I thought she was..a rouge or..someone here to cause.trouble and.." His mother had sat up now, leaning in some to listen "I..Cornered her this morning in a closet, and..I uhm..I..threatened to kill her if she screamed but..she was..trying to provoke me..and..I slapped her."
His father was unmoving but his mom's eyes were wide, Connors mouth popping open a little. Koin took in a breath, his chest still burning. The moment between the slap and the surprise plain on her beautiful face was locked in his memory now "I..I don't know what happened. she hit me but it..it was hard..so Hard I fell and..I guess passed out. I just woke up..just when I replied and..then I could smell her." His voice caught abit but he refused to cry right now. he closed his eyes a second, looking down to his lap "She's..my mate." he said quietly.
But he knew they heard. His mother gave an almost inaudible gasp and Connor nodded "I knew it!" His father growled deeply making them all quiver slightly "Your mate? you.." He almost spit the last word and Koin nodded.
Empty Homes Yavonne She was so focused on getting away she barley felt the long gash along her side leading to the glass protruding from her hip. She simply ran. Ran like she hadn't since the day her family was slaughtered. Flashes of green and brown mixed together and there she was again, her mother and sister on either side of her, her brothers Infront of her, she heard the screams. the screams and shriek of cannon, the crash of bullet, bark splintering, thud of bodies crumbling to the forest floor. She could smell it, death in the air, her village, her home burning behind them as the remaining survivors scattered into the forest. Yavonne reached for her younger sister’s hand as she began to fall behind, but something crashed into her quickly and sent her rolling, head over feet down the steep rock cliff and into the little river below. She didn't know what was real just now. They screamed still. screamed and burned and turned to ash while she lay there, unable to help. Heathen
Coffee and Horror Stories Koin It had been 2 weeks since Yavonne left. Two agonizing weeks. Had had barley slept or ate, but he went to school, and all day long held out hope. Maybe...maybe she would be there? He and Connor had cleaned her apartment, installed a new window and door, and Koin had made very sure her rent would be paid. His father had promised to dig up what he could on her, but so far there was no word. There were 3 things he was sure of. 1. She was hiding from someone. 2. She wasn't human, or..at least she was a gifted human. and 3. If she returned right now he would grovel at her feet and beg her forgiveness. By the second week he had a key to her apartment. He stocked her previously empty fridge with a variety of foods as he had no idea what she might like. He brought little gifts and flowers, but..no one came. Sitting in her empty apartment was both torture and bliss. Her smell was everywhere and eased the ache in his heart slightly, but her absence was
Through The Eyes Of Your Brother Connor *Man this is a messed up situation.* Connor sent his wolf Pelgardie. Pelgardie grumbled in response. He never was much for words. Most people talked about their wolves like they were people, carrying on whole conversations, but Connor never got more than a few well placed grunts or a growl. He loved his wolf, but boy would it be cool to have a companion to bounce things off of. Usually that was Koin, his best friend was always level headed and Connor needed that. Koin had always balanced him out, he was careful, thoughtful, and well..all the things Connor never seemed to be. Connor offered a good time, helped Koin let loose and blow off steam. the two had always been inseparable, and there was no one Connor respected more. So what could he do now? Koin was in pain. So much so that the whole pack could feel it, though no one wanted to tell him that. He was becoming more and more reckless, lost in waves of shame and despair. Connor hadn't foun
The Old Gods Koin The entire drive was 23 hours; we drove 14 before stopping at a hotel on the side of the highway. Koin felt like a brick in the seat weighing the car down. He tried to imagine it. The horror of what Thalia had been through, still a child, her whole family wiped out in a day. How had she made it so far? How had she survived on her own? He held a new reverence for his lost mate. She must be so strong to have survived all of this, so resilient. He knew that she wouldn't be there..and yet still he hoped. Things seemed easier with everyone helping, looking. His father was still pissed, and with good reason. Koin was meant to take over at 22. Only 4 years now, and he had made such monumental mistakes, he had let his instincts get the better of him. As nice as it was to be out of the car, Koin was antsy. He wanted to be on the road, or better yet in the forest. Azier had been ignoring him, he was beyond angry, in agony. The few times he had let Azier to run he would h
The Big Hole Thalia She spent nearly 500 dollars just to get to Colorado, and she was sure someone had taken her family horde. She searched for nearly a week before she came across something startling. Her family horde...every bit of treasure and dollar had been moved into one massive plot with what remained of other families’ belongings. not stolen. But reburied. some else had to have survived. She couldn't find and clues though and waiting 2 days more did nothing but push her deeper into despair. She made a quick note, anyone worth contacting should understand the runes enough to figure it out. Then she set upon the bigger task. Selling off what she could for cash, which would be easier if she didn't have fake I. D’s and was under 18. She wanted to get away from her old home that held so many cruel memories and thought it easier to sell along the way back to West Virginia, so even if they thought twice about her she would be gone. Her strength was returning slowly, gods and spi
Doing Circles KoinKoin had actually fallen asleep on the car ride, he suspected Connor had something to do with that as he was extra concerned with getting Koins morning coffee. He didn't mind, Connor wouldn't do anything to harm him. It was nice to sleep really, his dream was great. Thalia spread below him in the grass, her brown, red curls splayed out around her magnificent face. That taunting little grin pressing to his jaw every so often. she was saying something, but he couldn't hear her at all. Didn't matter, he crushed his lips to hers every opportunity he saw, hushing her as he lost himself in the way her skin tingled against his. He pulled back a moment to say something, but it was no longer her. Now some..bloody mangled corpse lay bellow him, a man perhaps? his blue eyes were wide with fear and rage and as Koin stood he gave out a feral animal like scream, a sound so terrifying Koin had to cover his ears, bending to his knees. Koin jerked awake with coughing gasp, he was
Chapter Thirteen Koin Koin didn't slow down until the apartment was in view. 1,500 and some odd miles covered in a little more than 6 hours. Koin crept through the yard smelling deeply, but he knew already. she was here. inside. He could see the lights off the lamp he had left for her displaying stars and colors across her walls and ceiling, splashing out onto the porch a bit as if she meant to share it with the world. Connor sat to watch as Koin shifted into human form, going to the small patch of grass Infront of the porch to get the shorts he had hidden under them *Don’t. Don’t let Azier...* Connor nodded shifting back to go around the building a little *I got you dude, he's just excited.* Koin looked back towards her window. He crept up to it slowly to peak in very carefully and breathed a small sigh of relief. She was sleeping. He couldn't help but smile, she looked so small and fragile, so at peace as she slept. His little doll, so full of fight and life. She was amazing. She
It Runs In The Family Thalia What the actual fuck???? Thalia was making her way through the dream scape, throwing her secret message around like fucking confetti when she sensed something so alluring she knew it had to be some kind of gift from the gods. It was warmth, it was like chocolate fucked peanut butter then rolled in Carmel, sex on fire. It was a hum that made her toes curl a bit. So..she ran to it. not walked but...ran. She could hear things more clearly now, she was stepping into somewhere new, and somewhere new had a deep husky voice mumbling something, grunting quiet moans. Oh..my... She would at least get a good peak. It was that fucking psycho that drug her off to a closet!!! This fucking dude? She couldn't help it though. Wow was he. Built. Those baggy clothes he wore did a good job at covering him up. He seemed focused on something, her? she might’ve let it play out, him jerking off to her, if it weren't for what he said next. "I'll protect you and break you a
Just to Say It Iyla Ordia was dead. Beyond any repair or hope she was gone before Iyla even opened her eyes. Gone and she had given her last day to protect her and her sister. All of this because of 1 woman that Iyla was sure was perfect. She couldn't comprehend it all. Rehida was the responsible for Thalia’s attack, but why? All of this was rushing through her mind, even as Connor sat her down under a tree to go help Koin and Thalia do whatever they were actually doing. She couldn't bring herself to ask. After everything she and Ordia had suffered together, she was taken away so quickly Iyla hadn't even had time to know it before she was no more. Thalia was on the phone with someone, talking quickly, Iyla watched her, her thoughts still moving backwards to that terrible place. The strange creature told her that she would server the Gods by serving her or him. Then Thalia dropped in, and the creature actually ran to hide. It gave an earie laugh, too much air and not enough feel
What Beauty Can Disguise Koin He and Connor had taken their seats again, watching from a distance as his mother moved around the circle with some kind of herb, smoke wafting from it in heavy plumes as she whispered something. Then Ordia came into view, slowly, studying Rehida. Connor sat up a little "Over here" He whisper yelled to her, but she never looked in their direction. She was very focused on what Rehida was doing, her eyes moving over the circle slowly. A strange sort of energy was beginning to build, even Connor could feel it and they both stood "Hey? What’s going on?" Connor called out, understandably feeling panicked. Rehida stopped moving to look up to her and the two locked eyes. "Traitor. Thief. I know your name now. I know what you've done. What you would like to do." Ordeia told her. Koin stepped forward ready to interfere with whatever battle was taking place when his mother’s face twisted into a sneer, an almost inhuman expression, the corners of her lips pulli
Till The Worldly Grave is DugIylaShe had been dreaming about the ocean, her and Connor along with Thalia and Koin all just enjoying a long beach day, making sandcastles and learning awkwardly, to surf. They had their first kiss. Their first beautiful, magical, perfect kiss. Then it was night. That quickly. She closed her eyes as he kissed her, opened them and she was alone with the stary night sky above her. It was amazing, but she noticed something floating out on the waves, rising with each crest. It appeared to be a body!! She screamed for help, but no one was coming. She couldn’t remember why, but she wouldn't waist time. She ran out into the shallows of the shore and dove into the deeper water to swim out and try to grab onto the body, but she could no longer see it. The waves were getting much bigger now, she couldn't manage it anymore. One wave would lift her then crash her down into the depths and by the time she resurfaced to take in a breath another wave would slam down o
Like Bones Digging Deep Thalia This whole situation was making her skin crawl. Iyla had talked to her weeks before hand about how her venture into the dream scape was her first try, and if Ordia hadn't been there she probably would have been to scared to go for it. Sure, Iyla was a little reckless, but usually her misbehavior was due to curiosity, not an outright want for danger. Why would she have just randomly gone for a walk? How had Rehida known so quickly? She couldn't get her mind to shut down for a long time, no matter how many deep breaths she took, something about what was happening was far more unsettling than their main focus. Iyla had been in the dream state all day, it was hard telling how far away she was, Thalia could only hope that these last few days with Koin and feeling grounded would center her enough for her to also find her way back. Her biggest help was the fact that Thalia had taken walks at least twice a week for the past few years, the dream scape was nea
Respect Your Elders KoinHe couldn't even begin to understand, the things his mother was describing mine as well have been in a completely different language. He still felt Connors panic, and Thalia’s as well. Connor sat on Iylas right side holding her hand while others rushed around, Thalia had scooted to put Ilya’s head in her lap and stroked her hair. All he could do was go get the things his mom requested and watch. He knew the basics, that these women could somehow disconnect their minds and metaphysical bodies to move around freely in the world, he had seen Thalia do it herself, catching him being a pervert the day she was brought here. What he did find odd was that Ordia had left and not returned. Ordia had been like a grandmother for Iyla, and from what he understood had practically finished raising her after the attack on their village. Why would she not want to be here helping. Finally, as dusk settled in Rehida ordered most everyone away, except Thalia, Connor, Koin an
Of Shadows in Dreams Connor School sucked without Iyla now, he never noticed before how much people complained. The adults and the kids all just had negative things to say. There seemed to be no actual escape from it. All day long. I'm tired. I have a headache. I'm bored. My phones dead and I don’t have a charger. I stayed up all night talking to my boyfriend so now I can’t keep my eyes open. It was never ending, and how did he not catch on before he met her? It was like no one could see the good in the day at all. Before going home, he and Koin stopped at a grocery store and he went in to get a little bouquet of sunflowers, some chocolates and a movie. Even if she couldn’t go to school they could be lazy in bed, he even preordered pizza to pick up on the way home. Only when he got home she was out. He snuck in and put the flowers on her bedside table before going to set up the little living room with extra pillows and throw blankets he had brought over from the main house. Ordia
Familiar Noises Thalia She was in some cave, a massive circular space with tunnels all around, at least 6. Someone is there. She can hear them faintly whisper. She can see the light of the fire reflecting off the wet stone, but every time she turns her head to look the flames and the form have moved, just shadow against the light. “Red is the rose which petals wilt, Red are these hands,Red the life blood, Blood of body, Blood of family, Blood these roots like bones digging deep.”The voice sounded familiar, but not at the same time, maybe once beautiful but it was now a sickly tone, a hissing whisper as if the words to bold to take real sound. Then she woke up. She gasped in breaths as reality settled on her, the cool morning air sneaking in the window. Koin was getting dressed by the closet and he smiled seeing her "Good morning." He came over slowly to kiss her head, but at the last moment she tilted her chin up and let his lips meet hers instead of her temple. He chuckled
Freaks at FestivalsIyla She would've settled for having her sister back and living pretty much anywhere but Louisiana. How could life get any better? Not only did she live in a beautiful place with great people, but she had a boyfriend!! He was the best; he was funny and smart and could toss her around like she weighed nothing. He even let her sit on his shoulders to pick cherry’s. Ordia liked it here too, her job was to help run the little day care down the hill while pack members did their usual daily work. If only Thalia was better and could come hang out with her, but she was having fun doing her hair in the mornings, Thalias hair was thick and curly and held so many tones of warm red and brown. She always liked her own hair, but it was kind of boring, always straight, never held a curl, or hairstyles either. School was great too, but Koin was always in a bad mood, and Connor became very serious when they walked through the doors also. She knew why, they were looking for whoev
The Foreboding Koin He couldn't believe his life was actually playing out the way that it was. Everything seemed perfect. Thalia was finally no longer fighting him, maybe she didn't talk constantly and divulge her whole life’s story, but she didn't push him away anymore, didn't try to run away with him. Every day he got to hold her, not just when she was crying. Every day they had breakfast and dinner together. Everyday felt like a dream come true, and while he wished she wasn't hurt, he was oddly enjoying taking care of her. To add to the blissful peace that had come into his life, his brother was more than happy. Ilya was just the girl for him and watching Connor stair at her dreamily made him chuckle often. He was like a goofy love-struck puppy dog. He felt a blossom of hope when Connor told him Iyla had not only seen his wolf but looked forward to hanging out with him in wolf form. He could only dream that Thalia will be so in love with Azier, cause the big guy was all about he
