Chapter 90: He Took My Child

Nadia’s POV

Veer couldn’t go home. My cry won’t let him. We have been anticipating the sergeant for over an hour already.

I was seated with Veer on the same couch with my head using his shoulder as a pillow. His hand was slid around my waist from the back, keeping me closer to himself while patting me to stop crying. Hema was seated on the other couch beside us. Her phone stuck in her hand while still dialing Mrs Mahavir’s number. I pressed my lips together, fighting back my tears. I don’t want Veer to see his efforts going to waste.

“Sweetheart?” Veer called in a whisper.

“Hmm?” I mumbled.

“You don’t have to worry too much, okay? I am sure the sergeant will find Zeehan and when that happens, I won’t let any harm befall him again,” he assured me.

I nodded. “Thank you for being here with me,” I appreciated him. He pulled me closer, wrapping his warm arms around my torso. This should be Sidd doing so. Our child is missing for pity’s sake. Sidd. Speaking of Sid
