Chapter 16: The Torturous Villainess

last update Last Updated: 2024-10-29 19:42:56

I spent the night in

prison, with no food, and no water. I wonder how my baby is doing. Is Hema taking care

of him? Will Sidd come to my rescue? What if he doesn’t show up? Who would bail

me out when I told Hema not to come look for me? Dear God, please save me from

this. Water splashed on my face and I gasped, opening my eyes to see a woman

glaring at me with a cup in her hand. It was morning already. I didn’t see her

throughout yesterday, is she just resuming? I scrambled up from the floor.

“You should have just

woken me up, ma’am, not with water, okay?” I said boldly. She let the cup fall

from her hand and left her five fingers on my cheek. My head whipped aside and

my eyes turned red instantly. I gradually returned my face to her. She had her

jaw clenched, ready to unleash another terrible punishment on me. I drew back

from her. She yanked at my hair, pulling me closer to her. This lady should

thank her stars she’s a cop. I won’t tolerate just anyone mistreating me like

this.

Nadia’s POVIt dawned on another hellish day. As usual, I was woken up with water splashing to my face. Wiping the water off my face, I beheld the face of my tormentor. How on Earth did I meet this woman? How much did she collect to snatch life out of me? I looked at her. I don’t have a single strength to deal with her torture today.“Time to scrub the floor,” she dished out. I didn’t commit murder. I was just detained but she’s making it look like I was sentenced to life imprisonment. The only thing that will make me stand up from this floor today will be me going home. I won’t serve the punishment of a murderer under detainment. I ignored her. “Are you deaf?” she snapped, grabbing my forearm roughly.“Ouch!” I winced at the pain her clutch was causing to my soft skin.“Is the torture not enough for today, Yoshita?” one of the officers who was passing by said.“Maybe I should tell Ria you said that,” Yoshita retorted.“You are such a hothead,” the officer scorned and walked away, lea

Nadia’s POVI rode with Sidd. He was just driving to God knows where. I was looking out of the window. The few times I glanced at him, our eyes met and I would quickly look away. The silence in the car is overwhelming with my heart banging my ribcage for no cause. Suddenly, I lunged forward as the car came to an abrupt halt. I looked at Sidd.“What was that for? Are you planning to kill us?” I snapped. “Enough of the silence. You said you wanted to tell me something. What is it?” he asked. I ignored him. He isn’t even planning to explain why he never showed up as he promised a few years ago. “Aren’t you going to speak anymore?”“What? What do you want me to say to you?” I snapped. “You are so heartless. A bitter promise-breaker, that’s what you are. How could you? You promised me. I believed you. I waited for you. You abandoned me. Do you know what I went through because of that? Do you know the pain your abandonment caused me? You wouldn’t know, Sidd. And it’s fine. I regret loving

Ria’s POVI thought Sidd was going to call and apologize to me but he never did. I waited all night long. Catching some z’s, the anger still didn’t subdue. I had to call his mother, ma’am Damini to report him.“Good morning, Aunty,” I greeted, sounding sobby.“Hey, baby, what happened to you?” she asked over the phone. She was my mother’s friend. She adores me. It was through her I got into a relationship with Sidd. At first, he was a hard nut to crack, but when his mother interfered and made it a necessity for us to get into a relationship, he had no choice. Since then, our love has grown deeply. And I can’t ever watch another woman take Sidd away from me.“It’s Sidd, Aunty,” I reported. “He is seeing that Nadia lady. He yelled at me when I visited him yesterday and didn’t even bother to deny that he was seeing her. Can you believe he bailed her?”“Calm down, Ria. You can’t be so sure, dear. He is one of the producers in the Bollywood film industry. I want you to meet him,” I said. She looked abruptly at me with a surprised look.“What are you saying, Hema?” she asked, chuckling in between.“I am serious.”“I know you are serious. But visiting a producer to pitch my script in a short time is like wearing yellow to a Valentine’s party. I have never pitched before and meeting the producer will be to disgrace myself,” she expressed.“I am not telling you to go and pitch anything. I already told him you are coming tomorrow. Every of their word increased the rate of my pounding heart.“What do hungry men do to bangable ladies?” the second man voiced out, licking his bottom lip. The others laughed. “I will go first,” he added. What the hell are they trying to do? Have me one after the other? The others seemed to agree as they shrugged, staring lustfully at me.
