CHAPTER 85- Growing Conflicts

Lara returned to the villa of the Silvercrest Pack upon Magnus's decision. As his wife, she had to stay by his side no matter what. Although Magnus was no longer the leader of Tribiano, she was still happy and content for as long as they were together. For her, what was more important than position and power was the love they felt for each other.

"I believe I understand why Alex's attitude towards me has changed." Magnus mentioned one evening as they sat in the villa's garden.

"What do you think the reason might be, Magnus?" Lara asked, furrowing her brows.

"Perhaps Alex harbored resentment towards me because I almost killed him in the battle, causing him to be in a coma for several days," Magnus speculated.

"Is that so?" Lara doubted. "But he knew that you were both under the dark influence of Lord Draven, so none of you was to blame."
