CHAPTER 66- Homecoming

LARA

The sun was setting, casting a golden hue over the villa. My heart pounded with anticipation as I waited for Magnus to return from the battle against Lord Draven. The past few days had been filled with anxiety and restless nights, but now, hope and excitement swirled within me. I had heard that Magnus was on his way back, and I could hardly contain my emotions.

The gates creaked open, and there he was. Magnus, my beloved, looked weary but victorious. Relief washed over me, and I rushed towards him, arms wide open for a warm embrace. As I approached, I noticed he wasn't alone. Beside him stood a woman, her posture regal despite the wrinkles on her face and the gray strands in her hair. The resemblance between them was undeniable; she had to be his mother.

"Magnus, I'm grateful for your safe return," I exclaimed, tears of joy welling up in my eyes as I wrapped my arms around him. His strong arms enveloped me, and for a moment, everything felt right in the world.

"Lara," Magnus said
