4: Kylie’s POV

Sky hasn't talked to me in two fucking days going on three and all I've wanted is to explain what happened. I could see it in her eyes that she was hurt when I dodged the kiss but she didn't give me anytime to explain. I freaked out, I mean she caught me completely off guard and it was the absolute last thing I expected for her to do. It was literally still only the first day we had met. I understand and don't at the same time that she had avoided me since but I sincerely couldn't take another minute of it. My heart was beating out of my chest when I asked her if we could talk. I was glad when she had agreed to meet up after practice but my anxiety was rising with each second. As I turned the corner I noticed Sky come out of the bathroom and I was just about to run to catch up to her when Amanda ran out after her.

Amanda quickly caught up to her and yelled "What the fuck are you serious?"

"I'm seriously not gonna be late to practice Amanda." Sky grumbled as she ran into the locker room where our teammates were getting ready

Amanda half screamed with her fists clenched before turning around furiously. Our eyes locked and she stomped over to me, her gaze burning a hole straight through me.

"What the fuck are you watching huh?" She grumbled

A small smile played on my lips "You, getting rejected, again."

I really don't know how I didn't stutter or how I was confident enough to say that but clearly it was a bad choice.

She pushed me against the wall and smirked before she spoke "Considering my head was just between her legs I don't think I got rejected."

I gulped and remained silent as she got close enough for me to smell the pussy on her breathe as she continued "I suggest you leave us alone, especially Sky if you want to live to see tomorrow."

"W-what d-do you mean, w-we're just friends." I stuttered out

She laughed humorlessly "I've seen the way you look at her, you're just scared for anyone to know you're a lesbian." She paused shaking her head "Do you really think Sky would ever go for someone like you?"

"She sure did when she tried to kiss me." I stated coldly pushing her away from me "Now get over yourself and get to practice before we're both fucking late."

She seemed to be fuming mad as she stomped away but I sighed in relieve when she was finally out of sight. I ran as fast as I could to the field where I saw Sky looking as beautiful as ever. As much as I wanted to talk to her I didn't want to do it here so I walked past her without saying a word and decided to wait until after practice.

Much to my surprise Sky quickly followed me and yelled "Hey!"

I looked up at her, noticing the vibrancy of her crystal eyes "Hey."

"Excited for practice?" She asked with a smile

"No." I replied shortly

We remained silent after that until practice began. Coach had us run warm ups, do drills and work on plays before we circled up and she dismissed us. As Sky grabbed her stuff I walked up to her and smiled.

"Hey, are you ready to talk now?" I asked looking at the ground

"Yeah, I brought my car today we can talk there." She replied pulling her bag over her shoulder

"Lead the way." I said with a small smile

We easily made our way to the car in silence, and I couldn't believe how nervous I was to talk to her. I quietly climbed in as she did the same and a moment of silence filled the air only building the tension.

I looked at my hands in my lap and said "So about dodging your kiss the other day, I'm sorry."

She looked up at me rather confused "Sorry for what? You didn't have to kiss me Kylie it's okay."

I looked up slowly "Yeah, b-but I wanted to."

Her face fell unreadable and shocked before she seemed to return to earth "R-really?"

I shook my head yes and she smiled, a blush now covering her cheeks "I wish I had talked to you sooner then, I'm really sorry for avoiding you."

I smiled "It's okay I understand, but there is something I need to talk to you about."

"Okay what is it?" She asked, curious it's now filling her face

"Well, it's about Amanda..." I replied noticing her face was quickly becoming pale

She froze and then looked down "So you know?"

"Yes, but I'm not mad I mean it's not like we're dating Sky. I just, well, she kinda threatened me." I stuttered out

Rage now occupied her expression "She did what? I'm gonna fucking kill her."

She reached for the door handle but I quickly reached across and held her hand. My entire body was now only inches from hers causing us both to freeze as she released a breathe.

"P-please d-don't, I already told her off." I replied in my normal stuttered way

"You did now did you?" She replied with amusement suddenly replacing the rage "How?"

"Well after throwing it in my face that she Uh, ya know," I looked down shaking my head "she um told me to stay away from you and her well I guess she said us, but anyway I tried saying we were just friends but then she said you'd never go for a girl like me. I was really pissed so I told her clearly you were since you tried to kiss me and then I told her to leave before we were late to practice."

"I'm really gonna fucking kill her what a fucking bitch!" Sky yelled, clearly pissed off at what I'd just told her

"It's not worth it." I shrugged

"Wait we're you in the hallway when we, after we um I mean like.." Sky stuttered out

"Yeah, I was behind you guys, I wasn't trying to spy or anything I was just on my way to practice. I just had really bad timing I guess." I replied with a small laugh

She bit her lip "Even if we aren't dating I'm sorry, especially for what she said to you."

I shook my head "It's not your fault."

She smirked "Well either way, can I make it up to you tonight?"

I smiled "You don't have to do that."

"But I want to, besides I promise we'll have fun!" She replied giving me puppy dog eyes

"Fine, but what are we gonna do?" I asked

She smirked "Buckle up and you'll find out."

I smiled and shook my head as I buckled myself in. She did the same before starting the car causing the engine to roar to life. I can't believe how well that went, I mean yeah I'm still hurt that she fucked Amanda but realistically we aren't dating and I dodged her kiss so she had no reason to even think I was interested. Amanda has never been my favorite though and that's partly why it bothered me so much. She had always been rude to me and had gone out of her way multiple times to fuck with me. For instance in one of our games last year she tripped me so she could take the shot and she fucking missed. After the game she legit came up to me and told me to get out of her way when she's taking a shot and if I was anymore confident I would've choked her out on the spot.

"You okay?" Sky asked taking my hand in hers as she drove

Butterflies erupted in my stomach at the small gesture "Yeah I'm good."

She squeezed my hand before letting go of it and returning her hand to the wheel. It was rather crazy how much of an effect she has on me after only knowing each other less than a week but man did I like it.

"So where are we going?" I asked

She smirked "It's a secret."

"You aren't going to murder me are you?" I smirked back

She laughed "You're so original, but no of course not."

I laughed with her "That's what a murderer would say."

"Guess that's true but at least I'd be a hot murderer." She said while winking at me

"Can't argue there." I whispered causing her to smirk

We drove for about 20 minutes before pulling off onto a small dirt area where Sky parked the car.

"We're hereeeee!" She laughed

As I looked around I noticed we were surrounded by forest "Are you sure you're not a murderer?"

She chuckled "Too late either way now, cmon let's go!"

We both got out of the car before she smiled at me.

"Close your eyes and hold my hand." She said calmly

"Okay." I whispered as I did as instructed

She pulled me with her for maybe a five minute walk before we stopped suddenly.

"Open your eyes." She whispered in my ear sending chills down my back

As I opened my eyes I couldn't help but gasp at the beautiful sight in front of me. A lake stretched the land below us and a small waterfall was off to the right releasing mist into the air. I had lived here for years and visited this lake many times but never had I seen this beautiful of a view here.

"It's beautiful." I whispered

She smiled and whispered in my ear "So are you."

A blush filled my face causing me to look away from her "Thank you, so are you."

"This is actually my favorite place, me and my bestfriends found it when we were kids and I've been coming up here ever since when I need to be alone. It's my spot I guess you could say." She laughed while looking over at the view

"It's truly amazing, thank you for bringing me here." I smiled

She smiled back "You're really something else Kylie."

We sat and talked for what may have been hours but It felt so peaceful here. I wouldn't have been this comfortable if we had gone somewhere in public because unfortunately I'm still anxious about people seeing me with a girl.

"So what do your parents do?" Sky asked while filing a piece of grass

I froze completely thrown off and then quickly stood and took a few steps away facing opposite her.

"You okay? She asked standing and gently placing her hand on my shoulder

"Uh, we should head back." I mumbled lamely

"Okay but are you okay? I'm sorry if I said anything to upset you." She said quietly

I turned to face her "I'm okay, let's just head back."

She smiled half heartedly before silently leading me back to the car. Once inside the tension was almost unbearable as we both sat there without moving.

I sighed "My parents died when I was young, that's why I got so weird."

She turned to me, empathy in her eyes "I'm sorry for your loss Kylie, I shouldn't have asked."

I smiled "Thank you but don't be, you didn't know."

"Yeah," she smiled "Am I allowed to ask who you live with now?"

"That's a story for another time." I said with a small smile

"Okay." She smiled back as she started the car "Do you wanna come to my place for a bit, I'm really not ready for our date to be over."

I smiled thinking for a moment "Okay."

We drove for awhile before pulling in front of a gated house where Sky quickly spoke to a speaker before the gate opened.

"D-do you l-live here?" I stuttered out

"Yep." She replied while popping the p

The house was gorgeous and extremely well taken care of from the looks of it. Flower beds lined the entire perimeter and the house seemed so large that I was now worried I'd get lost inside. The stone of the walls was accented by black window frames and a gorgeous black front door. Sky pulled her car into the garage larger than my house and I was surprised to see a number of other vehicles including the motorcycle from the other day. Once she turned the car off we both got out and she handed the keys to a man dressed nicely in a black suit. He appeared to be in his mid sixties with gray hair and dull blue eyes.

"Thank you Edward, we'll be in my room." Sky said smiling kindly at the man

He nodded before quickly exiting the garage leaving us alone.

She turned to me and smiled "Judging by the look on your face this isn't what you expected when I said we were going to my house."

I smiled nervously "No I wasn't but it's a beautiful home."

"Yeah." She said in a rather unsure tone "Follow me."

We walked through the inside of the house that was equal in beauty to the outside. The kitchen was red and black and had a beautiful island in the center large enough to be a dinner table. The living room had two black couches with grey hardwood below them and a giant flat screen on the red walls.

"Your parents must really love red and black." I said with a small smile as we headed up the stairs

She smiled "Actually my dads favorite color is red and me and my moms favorite is black so it just seemed like the best color scheme."

I smiled as we entered what I assumed to be her room and I was shocked. The bed was covered in black sheets that contrasted against the white hardwood and grey walls. A beautiful red and black rug was in the center of the room and a number of other objects occupied the space. I noticed that on her desk were a number of photos including a cute one of her as a child.

"Your room is beautiful." I said in awe

She smiled "Thank you, so what do you wanna do here at casa de Skylar?"
