“Good morning Mrs. Jasmine!” A woman wearing an apron and carrying a tray greeted. Her greetings were addressed to the fair lady who laid on her bed with her palm on her head.

“Please drop it there and leave! I would not want to be disturbed this morning?” The lady said to the woman who dropped the tray. She was one of the many maids in the mansion.

“You did not have to be rude to the maid. Ruth has been working in this mansion even before you came in as my wife”. A man’s voice could be heard in the room. But he was completely out of the woman’s sight.

“Good for you! Same reason your family thinks I should not be your wife because your girlfriend was there before me and she could have probably bore an heir”. Jasmine said.

The man walked out of his dressing room. He looked ready for work. He stood by the bed. He pulled up Jasmine and asked her to take her medication. But she refused. She told him he was pathetic.

“By going against my family in keeping you? Or by trying to make you take your medication?” He asked. She took the water from the tray and splashed it on his face.

“How dare you act like you know nothing? Your mistress is pregnant and your family wants me out of the house. The fact that you married me and refused to leave that girlfriend of yours Fabian, that is what makes you pathetic”. Jasmine said.

Fabian raised a brow staring deeply into Jasmine’s eyes.

“But you are my wife, are you not? I do take care of our daughter too. So why are you insatiable?” Fabian asked. Jasmine smirked.

“I hope you die for this betrayal”. She said. Fabian told her she was out of her mind to say such a thing. He called for the maid to bring in water for his wife. While he went to change his outfit. There was no way he was going to work looking the way he did with the water that had wet his clothes.

“I will take Aria and leave this goddamn house if you do not drop your relationship with your mistress and make her terminate her pregnancy”. Jasmine yelled after Fabian. Then she pushed down the tray. She didn’t care about the glass breaking or that she was wasting medicine.

“Mrs Jasmine!” The maid called the woman’s attention. The face of the maid tells how horrified she was by the scene Jasmine has created.

“Call me Jasmine! I am no Mrs”. Jasmine said. Ruth didn’t know how to reply to this. She picked up the tray and the pieces of glass that was all over the floor. Then she proceeded to sweep the floor to prevent any accident that might occur from tiny pieces of glass that could still be on the floor.

“What the hell happened here?” Fabian asked when he came out of the dressing room wearing a different suit from the one he had wore. He had initially wore a gray business suit. But now he was wearing a navy blue suit.

Jasmine eyes him disdainfully. She got up from the bed and walked out of the room.

“Crazy woman!” Fabian muttered. The maid left after she was done cleaning. While Fabian took his briefcase in his hand and left the room.

“Sir! Breakfast has been served”. A woman who seemed to be the head of the maids said to him. Fabian told her to give the food to the maids or throw them away.

“Sir?” The woman replied in a questioning manner that showed she had not expected what he said or must have not heard him right.

“Do not let that woman have food till I return. Give Aria what she wants. But not Jasmine!” Fabian said. There was this authority in his voice that connotes his words not to be joked with.

The woman watched as Fabian left the house. She wondered why he would give such an instruction to them. Why would he want to starve his wife?

“Ruth, what happened in that room?” The head maid asked.

“Mrs. Jasmine went wild. I think Mr. Fabian is provoked by her attitude. She refused her medication and broke the glass”. Ruth, the maid who had witnessed what happened in the room said.

“Aria is four years old and they still won’t live in peace”. The woman said. She shook her head. Then she told Ruth to throw away the food that no one was going to eat in the house since the lady of the house will be starving as well.

“Madam Clautra?” Ruth half yelled. The woman asked if Ruth wanted her to repeat herself. She shook her head and told her she would do as instructed.

“If Jasmine went wild, it is probably because she is fed up. I do not blame her. I would do worst if I were to be in her shoe”. Madam Clautra, the head maid said.

Then she climbed up the stairs. She walked into one of the rooms at the end. There was a name tag on the door, “Aria”.

When Madam Clautra got into the room, she found a little girl playing. A smile embraced the woman’s face at the sight of this. The girl was vibrant. She was admiring the little girl and had not noticed on time that Jasmine was there.

“Why are you here?” Jasmine asked. She sounded hostile.

“I just wanted to check on Aria! I did not know you would be here with her”. The woman said.

“I will take care of my daughter today. Do not let the nanny come here”. Jasmine said. Madam Clautra told Jasmine she will do as told.

“Aria will also have her food here in her room. So have it sent here”. Jasmine said yet again to madam Clautra who took her orders and left.

It seemed to her that Jasmine herself cared less about her stomach because unlike Jasmine, she was yet to asked what they prepared for breakfast.

The only time they left the house was when they are going to see her mother’s best friend who has a son, “Kelvin”. Aria takes it that they were going to Kelvin’s place. “No questions now Aria!” Jasmine had said before finally disappearing from Aria’s room. Jasmine went to her shared room with Fabian, her husband. Jasmine went back to get her daughter Aria. She carried the four year old and left with her.

Diana told Jasmine she could only make her sandwich at the moment. Jasmine didn’t mind. All she cared for was getting something into her stomach. So Diana did make her sandwich which she ate. And then the two of them sat down to discuss Jasmine’s life. Diana asked Jasmine to file for a divorce since Fabian has gone ahead to impregnate his mistress while still not treating her well. “If that was possible, I would have done that a long time ago. I’m literally Fabian’s property. I don’t think I can leave”. Jasmine interrupted when Diana said she knows a divorce lawyer. “But you clearly said you want to leave him, didn’t you?” Diana sounded shocked. Jasmine sighed heavily. She told Diana she was only saying things she could not do. “So what if he helped your family get out of debt? Is five years of slavery not enough for him? Do you have to stay there for a lifetime? Hasn’t he taken over your family’s business for compensation?” Diana said. She was angry. Diana told Jasmine that Fab

Jasmine, knowing fully well what awaits her within those walls walked with her head held high. She had her daughter in her arms as she walked into the mansion. Fabian was there, standing with his back to the door that welcomes you to the interior. Madam Clautra rushed to take Aria from Jasmine. It was as though the woman already knew what would happen. She left with Aria in her arms leaving Jasmine and Fabian alone in the foyer. “You are back home early”. Jasmine said coolly despite the intense atmosphere. “Where the hell are you coming from?” Fabian asked Jasmine not replying to what she had initially said. “An apartment that’s like a pen compared to your mansion; there was love where I went”. Jasmine said calmly. Fabian scowled at her. Then with a deep darken voice, he ordered her to follow him. She scoffed, but she followed him as he led her to his study. Jasmine wondered why he was leading her to a place where he forbids her from going. He would never want her there. But sh

She stayed relaxed for a while, then proceeded to leave the bed. She felt quite dizzy. Then she realised she was in a different place. It does not look like her home. She rushed towards the door wanting to look outside. Perhaps they changed the decor, that was what she thought. But she opened the door to find out that the hall was different and there seemed to be too many rooms along the hallway. She rushed back inside to find a man that was not there when she woke up. He had a towel loosely wrapped below his waistline, giving off a bit of his downside. “Who are you? And what are you doing here? I mean why am I here?” Jasmine asked all at once. And Jasmine didn’t know where the laugh came from. Except for the fact that she was the one laughing, she had no clue what part of her was doing that. She walked into her dressing room where she looked for what to wear in her closet. Then she undressed herself, her eyes spotting the hickeys she was covered in from the mirror. Jasmine felt disgusted by what she was seeing on herself, but there was nothing she could do about it. She decided to act like she was not bothered by the hickeys. She dropped the jet black jumpsuit she has taken from the closet on the chair sitting in front of the mirror. All she needed was in that dressing room. She contemplated tak

You have a call”. His secretary, “Viose” said. Fabian at first did not want to answer his phone until the secretary told him it was from his mother, Mrs. Hart. Fabian took the phone, the call had already been disconnected, so he called his mother back. It was as though the woman was expecting his call, she did not wait for her phone to ring twice before answering it. “What is this that I hear Fabian? The only time Aria spoke with her was when she asked her to help carry her bag. “Get out! I do not wish to be disturbed right now,” Aria said. She did not even bother to look Theresa’s way. “Come on Aria! Why are you holding grudges against me just because I told you that you were keeping low lives as friends and that your boyfriend Eran was way too below your class,” Theresa questioned. She did not look like she was ready to leave Aria alone. Aria stood up from the bed on which she was lying. She walked towards the door and pushed Theresa out. Then she shut it. …………………….The following morning, Jasmine woke up to see herself in an unfamiliar room. She wondered how she got there. Then she heard the sound of water. It was probably someone bathing. She placed her hands on her head in a bid to combat the headache that was threatening to pull out her skull from her scalp. Then she stood up from the bed wanting to leave the place. It had not occurred to her that she was barely clothed with just lingerie, one she was not wearing. But then Jack came out of the bathroom and he was a stranger to her. She asked him what he was doing in the same room with her and who exactly he was. What happened to her the previous night was yet to come to her. Jack asked her if she did not remember the night they shared. Jasmine was confused for a while. She had no memory of him, not to talk of sharing a night with him. Then she remembered the last place she was before she could no longer remember anything. It was at the rooftop of the building where they celebrated

By the time Fabian got to the mansion, Kelvin and Clautra were done talking. But then, he did not bother the young man who has brought his daughter home. The first thing he wanted to do was see Aria, so he headed to her room. But Clautra stopped him.“Mr. Hart, I think it will be better you have a chat with the gentleman that brought Miss Hart home first before you see her. You know how she is”. Clautra said. He sighed. It was this bad, he could not get close with his own daughter. “Until when will she remain this way? Will Jasmine ever forgive me for this?” Fabian said. It was not necessarily a question for Clautra to answer to. And she knew better to keep shut at this point. Fabian went back down stairs to the foyer where he met Kelvin. At first he looked at Kelvin with hostility. Kelvin stood up to pay respect to Fabian since he was in his house. Fabian just looked at him despitefully. “Who are you to my daughter?
