At the Anderson Family's residence, a woman was painting on a canvass. A bronze clip held her long curled brunette hair at the back of her head, showing her youthful face. She's a middle-aged woman but she didn't look like it. Her brown almond eyes, long curled eyelashes, softly arched eyebrows, tall and straight nose and full lips still made her look 20 years younger than her age. She was a natural regal beauty. Her soft and slender hand held a paintbrush, applying paint on the canvass. It was a picture of a baby with angel's wings.
"That's beautiful, Hon" her husband Philip, deep soothing voice, was close to her ears. His warm breath sent tingles down her spine. He hugged her slim waist from behind, resting his chin on top of her head. His wife was considered tall in the industry she works at, but he was still taller than her. Her head at least reached his clavicle.
"Hmmm.. I think so too." The woman smiled at her husband. Apart from h
"Wow. 2 days in a row. That's a new record." Philip joked with Nicholas seeing as the man is there to visit them again. Nicholas laughed nervously. Philip could sense that something is different with Nicholas today. Nicholas went in and found Rosemary at the dining table. Andrew already went to school. "Nicky! You're here again?" Rosemary went to hug Nicholas. Nicholas however was more quiet than usual. "Aunt, uncle. I have something important to tell you." "Okay--what's this about? Why are you so serious all of a sudden." Philip asked. Nicholas picked up his phone from his pocket and scrolled his photos. When he found the group photo he took last time, he zoomed in on Diana's face and showed it to Rosemary and Philip. "Who's this? Someone you like?" Rosemary was intrigued.
On one Friday night at the big mansion, three pairs of elders sat in conversation at the dinner table. These people are usually busy managing the family's business or their own household. But for some reason, they decided to convene. They were talking about the latest updates concerning the business and even the latest gossip. In particular, the rumor that the eldest grandson is finally in a relationship. Hugh Ingram, Lucas's father came to know of it when a board member mentioned Lucas's behavior back at the seminar. The board member congratulated Hugh in advance for having a smart and talented future daughter-in-law. Of course the board member also thought how beautiful Diana was, but at least he had the common sense to not include that in his praises or else it will be misunderstood. Hugh was confused and surprised upon learning of this but kep
Staring on the ceiling for quite a while, Diana finally stirred from her thoughts. Lucas didn't bother her for the whole day except to ask her about meeting his family the next day. Earlier that morning, Lucas had already shared the news to her. She saw the report and was shell-shocked to know that not only did she find her biological mom, she also found out she has a different biological dad, and now even has a younger brother. It was too much to take in. How could life be so unpredictable? Only some time ago did she learn that she is not Vanessa's biological daughter. She only thought about finding out her real mom's identity. But to find out that even Osmond is not her real father? How could that be? Then what has her life been? She has been living with strangers all along?
Lillian was amused at her husband's reaction. "Naturally. The moment he'll learn about this, he won't stop talking about it." Lillian could already imagine the old man's joy when he learns of this. They have heard of Rosemary Griffin's story. She had only wanted to make a name for herself outside of her family's influence. But when she came back, she had already went through a lot. The clan had to mourn for the descendant they didn't even get the chance to meet. "When will you be meeting them, Diana?" Priscilla asked, curious. "I don't know yet. I'm not even sure if they've been told already." Diana looked towards Lucas. "Knowing Nicholas, he must have broken the news already. At least with his aunt and uncle." Lucas stated. And right at that moment, his phone beeped. It was a message from Nicholas. "Speak of the dev
That night, Rosemary stared at the ceiling in their room, wondering about the life Diana led all those years. She cried for missing the opportunity to raise her. Philip consoled her, reminding her that it was not her fault. She got tricked all those years ago. He was also still wrapping her around the idea that the baby Rosemary lost all those years ago, turned out to be his. He never imagined the possibility. When they met that first time at the bar, who would have thought that it produced a baby? Rosemary didn't have any doubt that it was Osmond's child. But now that the DNA result showed them the fact, he can't help but feel anger at the Winchester Family. Osmond already broke up with Rosemary that time as soon as he found out she's pregnant. He should have stayed away. Why did he have to take the baby he didn't want to have anything to do with in the first place?
In Lucas's home, Diana and Mrs. Baker was busy preparing dinner in the kitchen. The two were already close like aunt and niece. Mrs. Baker didn't feel that Diana is someone to keep away from. At first she would keep a respectful distance, after all, she is the Young Master's girlfriend and possibly the Future Madam. But Diana's gentle demeanor and friendly approach towards everyone who works for Lucas, made them want to treat her like their own family member. They genuinely care for her. Lucas was in his home office, skimming through some files when the doorbell buzzed. Mrs. Baker opened the door to see Dwayne and Morris, Lucas's brothers. "You must be Diana!" Dwayne greeted, pulling her hand for a handshake. "I'm Dwayne. This is Morris." "Nice to meet you both." Diana smiled politely. Lucas has told her before about the names of his family member
Monday at Forrest Research Institute, Diana was busy with work as usual just like Lucas. They were both preoccupied with tasks and didn't want to disturb the other. That was their dynamic. They respect each other's work life. They don't keep checking up on the other and get mad when the other won't answer at the speed of light. However, at this time, someone clearly didn't feel the same. A woman dressed in a designer-brand dress and sandals was demanding to meet Lucas outside his office. The secretary has already told her that her boss is in a business meeting and can't receive visitors at the moment. "Tell him Veronica is here. He'll meet me." Veronica Turner insisted, her eyes looked down on the secretary. She has been chasing Lucas for more than a week already. But every time she'll ask to see him, they would tell her he's at a business meeting
Lucas entered his office and saw the lunch ready on the coffee table. He went to kiss Diana's lips passionately, assuring her that she is the only one that could stir him inside. Diana responded to his kisses, even teasing him, nipping his lips. "Hmmm.. I should make you jealous more often." Lucas teased. "Don't you dare!" Diana glared at him, pinching his waist. "Owww… Only a joke. A joke.. I'm a master of avoiding women like her." Lucas hugged her tight, sending feathery kisses on her. Diana scoffed. "Why is that woman always here anyway?" "No idea. If it's really important, she can just state her purpose instead of just saying she wants to see me. I don't have any recollection of any pending projects related to their company." He shrugged his shoulders. "Heard her say she's going to be the Future Ma
