Part 1:: What Happened?

"No! What the f*ck are you saying?? NO I'M NOTTT!! Why would I be??"

An impertinent sort of breakfast-- this is how I see this news that sprung out to my face earlier in the morning.

"But it's already spread out girl, have you read the headline today?" I hurriedly grab my phone by the side table and search for the latest headline.

NooOOooo, What the hell?!

"Sht!" I couldn't react properly, all I want to do is to curse endlessly.

"Papu knows it already and guess what! He flights a ticket reserved right after finishing some stuffs, tadah! He'll be here soon! Isn't that great!" She sarcastically said and sneered at me

Papu coming to my place?

geez! Because of what again?

ow, that headline? Really?

This is not a dream?

"Can you repeat again? I think I heard it wrong"

"No, You heard it right papu booked a flight so anytime sooner he will be here."

that news was not even close to a one percent reality of the real situation and it made papu book a flight?.

I picked up the phone, only to hear my mom's fast rap lines of greeting.

"whatwasthenewsallaboutwethoughtyouweredoingacareer--"

I cut off her breathless speech "Mom calm down, it's not true, there's no baby in my tummy and there's no pregnancy, duh"

I thought that if I told her that I'm not pregnant, she'll be relaxed but this time she's even more panicked.

"W-what? So you're not p-pregnant?" she asked almost in a shouting way, I distance my phone.

"No!" I firmly replied " WHY WOULD I BE PREGNANT MOM?, I WAS IN MY HOTEL THE WHOLE NIGHT, IT'S NOT LIKE SPERM WOULD COME HERE, CRAWL IN THE NIGHT AND MAKE ME PREGNANT IN AN INSTANT, I HAVEN'T BEEN OUTSIDE FOR WEEKS"

My mom stopped for a while...and with so much confusion she utters a question

"So, who is this Caspian Arevalo?, the news said he was the father of your child" Great. Just great.

I was so shocked that I just sneered "tch" , I'm pregnant in the news and the name of the father was also there... nice a perfect script for a roleplay.

"How would I know mom? I was too shocked, imagine I just slept last night and waking up pregnant? Unbelievable! I don't even have wet dreams or had sex with any man in my dreams so it's impossible to be pregnant." I irritatedly said.

I just wake up and everything that's happening right now is like a big joke to me and trust me, you don't want to joke around with Anica Mendez especially if she just woke up.

"Relax my sweet daughter, so how would you explain this to your papu?"

I relaxed and try to compose my voice, I think this will really 'cause conflict.

"Just tell him the truth" I suggested. This won't work for sure.

Mom on the other side, with a surprised tone of voice said.

"No! You can't! Your papu is in a risky situation, anytime he might have a heart attack and you have no idea how happy he was when the news reached him." That is the reason why I knew my suggestion won't work.

now.... this is a mess.

I remember papu, who asked me about how many times, when will I give him a grandson or daughter, he said that he wants to meet the young version of me before he leaves this earth.

I really love my papu to the core, he's like the best grandfather, he gave me everything and taught me how to become a strong independent girl.

I owe him my career, he was there when my parents are busy making money, he became my parent.

"Then what should I do Mom?, I can't let papu down, he needs to live a long life, I have so many plans for us." I told mom, worriedly.

If papu founds out that the news was all fake then he might end up collapsing in shake, hearing the news did not literally shake him because I remember telling papu that I'll give him a grandchild soon-- well that was supposed to be a joke since my papu always brought that baby topic on out conversation so I just joked to make him stop.

"Do what's right." This is what my mother told me to do.

And by my mom's word, my imagination suddenly flashes in front of me as if I'm using multimedia with my eyes.

did I make a wrong move? I hope I did not.

"You do look attractive but hell, you're a woman and it's very inappropriate for you to ask me such thing, you ask me for what again?" he said lowering his head to my face

"Impregnate me" I bite my lips and looked away, maybe because I'm embarrassed.

She looked at me as if she's very disappointed with my words, I can see it with her raising her eyebrows at me.

Why would she suggest such a plan of attack, it makes me wanna puke and vomit at the moment I pictured how it will flow.

"That's the least thing you can do," she said with a crossed arm while waking into my direction and tapping my right shoulder-- a little harsh and intense.

"I can just get some guy to pretend," I said while looking at her seriously and she just burst out of laughter.

"HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA that won't buy my dear friend, the headline has a face and that face has a name, don't you think you'll be attracting more issues with that plan of yours?"

I did not expect this woman to have a brain.

I sigh, she has a point, my idea will not also give us much of a help, it can be another cause of trouble.

I facepalm, now I don't know what to do.

and As soon as I realize who's our guest, I suddenly froze myself for seconds.

"Mr. Arevalo, it's you, what are you doing here?" I easily recognized him since he's all over the news and we are beside each other on that news.

I saw amazement in Erica's reaction, she seemed to be stun or starstruck with the guy in front of us, well...

Dark Handsome man, I think he's close to 7'0 height. I don't find him that attractive but he's so manly and neat.

"Are you done checking?" He said using his formal tone, his aura is a little bit intimidating.

"I-I'm not checking." I saw how erica Stop her self from laughing.

I don't usually stutter, I'm a proud woman myself.

"Okay then, I won't consider you looking into my facial features down to my toes, I must have misinterpreted that as checking." He said in a masculine tone

" Can I have a sit?" He said, sarcastically pointing into the Office chair.

"Yes, you may" I looked in erica's direction "Uhm, would you leave us for a while?" I said giving her my forced smile.

"okay okay then, I'll leave now, so you can have your talk."

I waited for her to close the door.

Silence dominated, I did not dare to broke the silence since it is a little awkward for me to face him right now, I'm not even prepared.

He cleared his throat "ahem! no need to feel shy Ms., and I know you know why I am here Ms. Anica Mendez or should I call you the mother of my child?" I saw him smirk.
