The Avatar

"Celine, our avatars are here!" Chad announced in an excited tone. 

Celine is also excited so she immediately goes where Chad is. She saw the three large metal boxes and now she's standing in front of them. Chad opened the first one with his name on it and there's his avatar. He turned it on and greeted them like a real person.

"Good morning beautiful people!" The avatar said while the real Chad is smiling widely.

"Good morning, Chad 2! Please go to your charging dock. You need to get fully charged!" Chad instructed. 

The avatar walks towards the charging station and lays down on the charging dock. It closes its eyes as if it's sleeping. Celine was impressed with how the A.I. looks so real in the future. Although there are some realistic robots from Japan in 2021.

"Open your avatar so you can also have it fully charged. We'll never know when the doctor needs them to run errands for us." Chad suggested.

Celine started opening the box with her name on it. Unlike Chad's box, it only has her first name. The other one has the doctor's name on it. She turned on her avatar and decided to call it Dos, which means number two in Spanish.

 "Hello, your name will be Dos as in my number two. So you better not do anything embarrassing, okay?" Celine told her avatar.

"Hello, Master! I'm here to assist you in any way. Only humans are capable of committing embarrassing mistakes. So you don't have to worry!" Dos assured her

"Sweet! She calls you master which means she's sensing it from you." Chad commented.

Celine proudly smiles and looks back at her avatar. Dos is not just waiting as a robot should do. She's opening the doctor's avatar metal box now. 

"Dos, what are you doing? Stop it!" Celine panicked as she could see that Drake was now walking towards them.

Chad tried to grab the avatar's arm to stop it from opening the other metal box. If there's something Drake hates, it's someone who's opening his delivery.

"What a good pet name! What are you doing with my avatar Dos?" Drake looks at Celine then turns to the robot.

"Hello, Dr. Genius! I'm just trying to free your avatar from the last box so I can clean up this mess. You don't mind me doing that right? The avatar explained herself like a pro.

But did Dos just call Drake Dr. Genius? Celine didn't teach her anything yet. But it called her master without even telling it to do so. Chad was right, their avatars got some of their ideas. She just informed her not to do anything embarrassing a minute ago. But now, she looks like she's going all the way out!

"Did you just call me Dr. Genuis? Are you mocking me?" Drake asks while staring at Celine and then looks at the avatar.

"Of course not, doctor! You are a true genius and that's how my master sees you. If you don't like it, you can tell me what to call you instead." Dos seems to be capable of being wise on its own. She doesn't need to teach it anymore.

"So, you think I'm a genius?" Drake asked Celine.

"Of course, doctor! I'm here in the future because of you right?" Celine replied.

Drake smiles widely and turns to the metal box with his avatar. He opened it and turned on the A.I. robot that resembles him. If the robot can absorb their knowledge, then his robot must also be a genius.

"Good morning, Dr. Cole!" The avatar greeted its master.

"Hi! I'll call you Dr. Genius from now on and just call me Drake." 

Dos can't stop itself and go beside Dr. Genius. They look more acquainted than their masters. Chad can't stop himself and laugh out loud. Drake and Celine look sharply at him.

"What! I just find it funny how your avatars look at each other. Looks like love at first sight!" Chad exclaimed.

Celine didn't know what to say since she can see how the two avatars are communicating. They seem to be close after a minute of powering them on. Drake started at the avatars before he decided to break them up.

"Dr. Genius, charge yourself first before you socialize?" Drake ordered the avatar.

Dr. Genius said goodbye to Dos before going to his charging pod. Celine also decided to let Dos charge herself. When all the avatars are on their charging pod, the three scientists spread out to pretend they are doing something. Drake went to the experiment room.

"That was weird!" Celine exclaimed.

"Yeah, it's beyond weird. I have never seen avatars flirting with each other!" Chad replied.

"Maybe they are defective. They aren't supposed to be attracted to anyone!" Celine commented.

"Well, the avatars are just mimicking what their humans think and feel. So I guess Drake doesn't only see you as an assistant scientist." Chad teased her.

Celine rolled her eyes and accidentally looked at the experiment room. There she saw Drake staring at her. She immediately took her eyes off him and pretended to find something from the computer. They are still in the theoretical stage of the time-traveling device. 

"Celine, your computer screen is not even turned on!" Chad informed her and chuckled.

She's staring at a black screen since she hasn't turned it on yet. Although the computers are automatically turned on once they enter the lab, the screens should be manually turned on. It's for security reasons in case somebody breaks in. The screens can only be turned on via their fingerprints.

Celine pressed the button of the screen and it finally turned on. Now she can continue to look for something which is their schedule for the day. She almost choked with her own saliva when she saw that she was supposed to be with Drake right now. Without another minute to waste, she walked towards the experiment room where the real Dr. Genius is waiting...
