The next day, the morning sun greeted the sleeping Rosine on her bed. The man, called Mir, was staring at her intensely – still wrapped with his black hood.
He gently shook her to wake up.
“Hey, you need to wake up, or you’ll be late. You still need to get Varhen.”
Rosine groaned as she rolled her body away from Mir. She opened her eyes and squinted at the rays of sunlight pouring from the window through the curtains. She slowly got up and stared at Mir.
She slowly approached him and tilted her head at him. Mir just sat there, unmoving.
“You know, we knew each other for a while already, but why aren’t you showing me your face?”
“You can… at the right time.”
“And when exactly is that?”
“After everything is at its original place.”
