Conrad’s POV

“Alpha Conrad, we don’t expect anything but food and shelter. We are here to do a job at YOUR request, not be wined and dined. Now we will be leaving here in just a few minutes and should be at your pack in about….” There was a short pause, “in about two hours. Is that satisfactory to you?”

Who the hell did this Sherlock person think he was talking too like that? I am the Alpha! Yeah, I insinuated that he was expecting some glamorous welcome. Dr. Mason was an arrogant ass, he better be worth all of this fuss. We know nothing about this doctor. He could be a fake for all I know. This was the first time we have spoken since Doc said they were on their way from the states to the North. Ok. Yes, I dropped the ball on my duties to reach out, but I have been a little busy, so I left that task up to Doc.

I was stunned by his snarky attitude, but if I retaliated there was a chance he would turn around and leave. Doc would kill me if that happened. I would have to grin and bare it

Conrad’s POVI enter the pack house through the Omega staff entrance on the far side of the building. I didn’t want to come in through the front doors. I wanted them to think I was waiting for them, not off doing my duties. I cross through the long hallway to find my Delta Canice standing impatiently pacing. He must have known I’d come this way. When he sees me, he lets out a sigh of relief.“Hey, they here?” I say as I rush by him. Our boots’ footsteps echoing on the wooden floors as we sprint to the front of the packhouse. I hate being late. There’s a rule I always like to follow: if I am on time, I am late, if I am early, I am on time and if I am late, why did I even bother showing up?He nods as he follows close behind me. “Yeah, they are in the living room waiting to meet us. Shamus is already there with Sean.”My wolf, Titus, starts to pace back and forth in my mind. Lately he has been agitated, but never explains why. He is growling and snarling close to the forefront. ‘What i

Benji’s POVThe nurse leads Artemis and I to a door marked with “Chief of the Hospital” in big black letters on the frosted glass. She knocks and a low voice answers. We walk in and see a man with dark rimmed glasses sitting behind a single desk. He’s a typical werewolf male, tall, well-built, and handsome. He has short reddish blonde hair which styled to one side and deep blue eyes. He looks up from his desk and eyes us curiously like he wasn’t expecting to see us.“Dr. Lancon…” The nurse bows and exits the room. I look around at the walls of the office and see several diplomas and certificates neatly framed along the walls.Artemis moves forward and decided to start the conversation. “Good afternoon, Dr. Lancon. I am Artemis, Head warrior from the Blue Eclipse Pack.” She reaches out her hand and the doctor shakes it. “This is Dr. Benji Mason. You requested her assistance with the recent epidemic.”Artemis steps out of the way so I can offer my hand, but the doctor doesn’t move to ta

Bennet’s POVI wake up to the sound of knocking on my bedroom door. The sun is not fully up above the mountain view, I look at the time and groan in irritation. I have only slept about three hours and this sexy gay man needs at least 9 hours to function without pulling out my bitch card and slapping someone with it.Another knock… Dammit I hope it is not the Alpha again. He has been giving me a look I can only describe as confusion and uncertainty. While Benji was off doing her superhero Sherlock thing at the hospital last night, the rest of the team and I went to have dinner with the Alpha and his squad with a few of their warriors who were assigned to us. He requested I sit next to him at the long Alpha table. He periodically would glance up at me from his dinner plate which sent a shiver up my spine. Not the kind that make your dick get up and sing the praises to the Cum Gods, but the one that makes you wish you had bought stock in pepper spray. Don’t get me wrong, he is drop dead

Bennett’s POV“Well, well, well, Isn’t it the human who always came in second place…” Hazel smiles a toothy grin as she gives me a sneering look as if I am something disgusting that needs to be taken out with the trash. Her blonde hair swinging with the sway of her hips. Her tight skinned dress is tackier than my grandmother’s couch. ‘Probably made out of the same material.’ I think to myself. What in the hell is she doing in the North anyway? Wasn’t she supposed to be back in the Crystal Lake Pack with her parents, demoted to Omegas? After what happened with the Alpha King of the States, I thought she was band from traveling. Does Ciara and Alpha Mars know she is here? Shit. I should call them. I move to stand closer to the woman’s bathroom; hoping Hazel’s destination isn’t the same. “Well, isn’t it the skank who’s been around more times than a Merry Go Around at the state fair.” I smile back as I cross my arms. Hazel and I have been enemies since middle school… debate enemies. We

Conrad’s POVMy morning has been complete shit since the moment I woke up. First, I didn’t sleep well because of my avoidance behavior situation with Hazel. I knew she was going to try and come to my room last night for sex, and since I THINK I potentially met my mate... Very Male... mate. I didn’t want to do something stupid like sleep with her. Do humans feel the pain of betrayal? I didn’t want to find out and every time she is near me with her floral fragrance, I lose all control of my senses and my dick has a mind of its own. So, I did the only thing a strong Alpha like me could do at that moment. HIDE. I hid in my kids’ room. Hazel wont come near my kids. When I woke up stiff and irritable from sleeping on their floor, I realized I was running late and wasn’t able to meet Dr. Bennet and his team before they went to the hospital like I was hoping too. I wanted my wolf to get another good sniff of him, maybe he got the whole mate thing wrong?‘I smell mate.’ Is all Titus keeps tell

Conrad’s POVI paced back and forth of my suite, periodically checking the clock on the wall. Five more minutes til I have to meet the doctor for our da… I stopped myself. Nope! Dinner, not date. I ran my hand over my face in frustration. My mind still completely confused. He smelled like my mate, but when I looked into his eyes, I didn’t see mate, but he’s human, so who knows what that means! Ugh! My mind sounded like a broken record. Over and over, the same tune… Uncertainty about whether he was my mate or not.I checked the wall clock again, time to go. With a deep breath, I steel myself for tonight. It was just dinner… Not a date. I walked down the stairs to the ground floor, keeping my eyes peeled for Hazel. I made up some farfetched excuse as to why I couldn’t have dinner with her like she wanted. She seemed to believe me, so I wasn’t going to say much more.Leaning against the railing of the stairs, Bennet stood scrolling through his phone. He was still wearing hospital scrubs.

Benji’s POVI lifted my arms above my head and stretched out the muscles in my back after being hunched over a microscope and medical reports the last few hours. I squint my eyes to the bright overhead florescent lights of the Lab. Removing my glasses, I decide to close my eyes for a moment to give them a short rest. Visiting patients, taking blood samples, reaching charts – I am exhausted, but nowhere near solving what this disease is.I put my glasses back on and decide to get back to work. My phone pinged with a message. I pulled my phone from my lab coat pocket then smiled. Bennet said he was just about to meet the Alpha. I tried to feel happy for my cousin. Maybe the Alpha was his mate. It isn’t unusual for a human to be mated to a werewolf, but the idea of going back to the states without my cousin felt wrong. I quickly pushed the thoughts away. It was just dinner according to Bennet, so I won’t over think things.“I am telling you! It’s some sort of Zombie disease!” Gray argues

  • Werewolves Cure: Benji's Second Chance    Chapter 21

Conrad's POV Bennet and I walked out of the restaurant in comfortable silence into the chilly night air, then turned in the direction of the hospital. It was about a twenty-minute walk from where we were, so walking wasn’t too bad. It was a bit cold and I noticed that Bennet was shivering slightly even though he was wearing a sweater over his hospital scrubs. The nights in the North were always cold due to the mountain breezes, even during the summer, so I did the chivalry thing and draped my jacket over his shoulders. As a werewolf, our bodies naturally run at a hotter temperature then humans.“Thank you.” He says and pulls it close to his chin. It is the first time he has actually spoken to me without an attitude. I nod with a smile and continue walking.“Alpha…” A woman greets me with a nod then a few more greet me the same way.I return the greeting to several of our pack members who are also out on an evening stroll, but Bennet just quietly walks next to me. He seems to be lost i

Benji’s POV“That Bitch!” Bennet hissed close to my ear as I stared at Conrad and Hazel getting cuddly with each other. The dining hall was buzzing with chatter about the two being all lovey dovey with each other. But the whispers didn’t bother me, it was the neutral expression that passed between us that broke my heart. His eyes briefly met mine, giving nothing away before he looked back at Hazel with a smile. A world wind of questions popped into my mind. Was he under her spell again? Or was this for real? Did he really want her and was using me? I sniffed the air and smelled a faint scent of floral, but it wasn’t as strong as before.“Fucking look at him!” Bennet threw out again. Seeing my mate nuzzle Hazel’s neck made the bile rise in my throat. So, this is what rejection feels like? He hadn’t said the words, but we both knew the truth. Dehlia howled in my head, her pain flooded my body. He is choosing Hazel, but I couldn’t say I wasn’t completely surprised. Just caught off guard.

Bennet's POV “First things first, how are you feeling?” I asked, looking at my cousin’s pained expression when she maneuvered her body in the bed. After the former Alpha and Luna left, I helped Benji change her clothes which didn’t go down well with Conrad. His overprotective growl of me touching his mate made me want to bop him on the nose and call him a bad dog before putting him in timeout. I don’t care if he is my cousin’s mate, I don’t put up with that kind of behavior. I am a doctor, I have seen my fair share of naked people, my cousin being one of them. Plus, I am GAY, DUH!Bee smiled up at me once she was settled comfortably in her bed, “Better… I hate being stuck in this bed. I really need to get to the lab.” I could tell she was feeling better since there was some sass in that whine of her. She even looked refresh after a good washdown with a washcloth and a fresh pair of clothes.I propped her leg up with an extra pillow, making sure the bandages weren’t wet or needed to b

Nathaniel’s POVI took my last couple of deep thrusts before I deposited my seed into the cum dumpster I had underneath me. It was a decent pussy and good enough for a fuck and for my plans. Hazel grunted out her orgasm which sounded like a dying cat, but she didn’t need to know that. Rolling off of her, I got off the bed and started looking for my pants and shirt. We had thrown them off somewhere between the front door and the bedroom.“Baby… Not staying again?” Hazel’s nasally whiny voice came from the bed. I could see she wasn’t satisfied enough with just one roll in the sack, but I had to get back to my pack before anyone saw me.“Naw, I got to get back. My Beta Commander will be wondering where I ran off too and I don’t want to deal with that annoying little fucker.” I hated being the Alpha Commander of the smallest, most pathetic pack in the Northeastern territory. It was so small it was barely worth mentioning. I didn’t even earn the right to be a Commander, it was given to me o

  • Werewolves Cure: Benji's Second Chance    Chapter 44

Benji's POV Sitting in my hospital bed listening to Conrad tell me about his first mate and children, I just couldn’t fathom how anyone could abandon those sweet children or reject him. I carefully scanned his face, noting the subtle movements of his features, searching for any lingering signs of heartbreak from his past relationship, but his expression remained neutral.“I don’t understand one thing, how is Falon deaf? Werewolf pups don’t usually have these kinds of complications unless….” I trailed off and covered my mouth in shock.Conrad nodded. “Unless the mother was doing drugs while pregnant.” He didn’t need to say anymore. As a doctor, I understood the ramifications of taking drugs while pregnant. It didn’t matter if you were human or werewolf, taking drugs could do damage to the baby. I thought back to my medical studies and remembered that some werewolf clubs would lace their alcohol with illegal magic drugs to help the drinker get a better buzz. I couldn’t imagine being so

  • Werewolves Cure: Benji's Second Chance    Chapter 43

Conrad’s POVI didn’t wait long after Rebecca left to pick up the carrier with my two babies and rush out the door. Without giving him much information, I mind-link Doc to have him ready whatever he needed for two sick day-old pups. Just as I was about to reach the front entrance, my mother and father walked through the entranceway, brushing off the evidence of snow from their coats and boots.“Father! Mother! No time to explain! Drive me over to the hospital now!” I said as I slipped passed them. When we reach the hospital, Doc and a team of nurses were waiting with two baby incubators. They took the carrier from my hand and got to work. Nurses scurried around the two small pups as Doc barked orders before pushing the two incubators through the double doors of the emergency room. My parents and I were ushered to the waiting room. A nurse informed us that Doc would come and get us as soon as possible, but we had to wait for the time being.I sat down on the cold hard plastic chair wit

  • Werewolves Cure: Benji's Second Chance    Chapter 42

Conrad’s POV “Thank you for saving my pups.” I said. Somewhere between leaving Falon’s room and entering Bee’s room, I decided I needed to be honest with her about my pups. I wasn’t exactly hiding my children, but I wasn’t open about them either. Apart of me was scared she didn’t want kids because her career was so time consuming. I was fully aware of all her projects back in the states like her wolfsbane vaccination trials, her numerous medical journals she published and so much more. I even was aware before she came to the North, she was the head surgeon of her hospital. “Y… Your pups?” Her eyes widen at my words. I could feel her heart beating wildly. She was unnecessarily worried about what I was going to say and do.I pulled up one of the plastic chairs up to the side of her bed and sat down. Taking her hand in mine, Titus encouraged me to tell our tale to our mate. It was difficult to keep the small quiver from showing up in my voice, because I was scared. I was scared to tell

  • Werewolves Cure: Benji's Second Chance    Chapter 41

Mystery person’s POV From my advantage point, I could see from a distance the rogues surrounding the doctor and the little brat. The bushes and shrubbery covered me from view, but still gave me the perfect exit into the forest in case things go wrong. The rogues snarled and twitched menacingly at the stupid woman as she branded her tree branch at them. I listened as she tried to persuade them to leave. What a fucking joke…. They weren’t in their right minds to even hear her. All they saw was MEAT… Like hungry zombies, their thirst for blood was unquenchable. I made sure of that.Originally my plan was to have the rogues attack the doctor and her team while they were leaving for the evening, but when I saw her and the kids out in the field, I had to take advantage of the opportunity and called… her. I needed the doctor out of the way if I wanted to exact my revenge on the stupid fucking alpha. The child was just a bonus… By killing the child, I fulfilled half of her request and also

Bennet’s POV“Come on… I don’t have all day!” I stomped over to the warriors gathering up the dead bodies. The pungent smell of rotten eggs made me wrinkle my nose in disgust. The putrid smell of rogues was always a nasty scent, but these men had the stench of infection as well. “Well, Hurry up!!” I gave them each a death glare to dare say anything to me right now.I was fuming mad at Bee and whoever got in my war path was going to feel the string of wrath with a vengeance. The six warriors look at me like I have completely lost my mind and I probably have. Was I being a bit overly dramatic, most likely, but I almost lost my best friend and cousin! I deserve to have a mean girl moment. Right?I followed behind the men, not paying attention to anything around me as my eyes only saw red. “Stupid… She-wolf… fucking… brilliant but so stupid…probably would be dead if they hadn’t… Dammit… So stupid!” I grumbled under my breath the entire way to the morgue that was located on the other side

  • Werewolves Cure: Benji's Second Chance    Chapter 39

Conrad’s POVThe steady beeping of the heart monitor seemed to calm my nerves as I watched my little Falon sleeping on the hospital bed in the Luna suite. Doc and the nurses were able to regulate her breathing better and get her asthma under control. Her angelic face was everything to me. A tightness in my chest brought me back to the realization that I almost lost my children today due to someone else’s negligence. Why was Benji out in the field with my children? How did the rogues get so close to the hospital? Why were my kids left alone?“Father! Father!” my son’s voice came through the door as it swung open. A layer of sweat and dirt covered his face and his black hair stuck to his forehead. I could see the worry in his eyes as he looked between me and a sleeping Falon.“Master Finnley, you can’t go in there! Your sister needs rest! Please Wait in Dr. Lancon’s office and I was get someone to take you back to the pack house.” A nurse followed close behind him. “I’m sorry Alpha… We d
