“It’ll be the best if you keep to your word. Remember your identity. I don’t accept betrayal,” Simon reminded her in a cold voice.

“I knew that you were the best!” In her excitement, she suddenly hugged him.

He hummed nonchalantly in response. She tried to let go of him immediately after recalling the fact that he was injured. However, his large palms clasped onto her back tightly, preventing her from leaving his arms.

“Did I touch your wound?” Sharon asked anxiously.

“Yes…” Simon replied in a low voice. He held her in an embrace, her fragrant scent lingering about his senses. The haze of the past few days dissipated almost instantly.

Sharon did not dare to move around. “Let me go at once. If you hurt yourself one more time, it’ll be my fault once again,” she said. His sister would never forgive her for this.

Simon sniffed nonchalantly. “Fortunately, you still remember who I suffered all these injuries for,” he remarked. He still did not let go of her.
