Sharon did not respond to him and quietly cleaned up the mess on the floor before getting up. She turned her back on him and fell silent again. Truthfully, her heart was no longer at peace.

Simon was absolutely certain that she was hiding something from him.

“Is it because of the hospital visit today? Are you sick?” This was the worst thing he could think of.

Sharon could not contain herself any longer; her emotions were crumbling down as she tried to suppress her cries. Even her shoulders were twitching.

Simon’s expression sank as he turned her around to face him. “What’s the matter? Tell me.” Was it a serious illness, perhaps?

Sharon wanted to tell him, but she found it difficult to speak, so the only option was to pass him the test report.

Simon took it and looked at it suspiciously. “What’s this?” It seemed like it was his son’s test report.

“Can’t you see? Sebastian has inherited my family’s genes. Plus, he’s sick…” Sharon was choked up.

He was not surprised that their son
