As I stared at the image of my younger self in the video, I felt a wave of regret. I had been so blinded back then, completely taken in by Silas.

At the time, Nora had latched onto a wealthy benefactor and was planning to leave the country.

Silas, already deeply influenced by Nora, had fallen into a downward spiral. I feared that if she left without a word, the blow would devastate him.

Unwilling to see him suffer, I approached Nora and offered her three million to lie to Silas.

"This three million is for one thing, which is to give Silas one last message before you leave.”

"Convince him to focus on his studies and stop spiraling downward."

Nora happily agreed to the deal. After her parting words, Silas's condition improved significantly, and I felt the money had been well spent.

Looking back now, it was a colossal mistake.

I compiled all of the evidence against Nora, intending to release it online, but before I could act, I learned she had gone missing.

Nora smiled at me, her gaze sharp and mocking, as she continued, "We were only supposed to scare you, but one of them had other ideas and nearly went too far. You barely escaped being ruined. And after that, Silas decided you were 'dirty.'”"All that talk about timing and feeling unworthy? It was just because he thought you weren't pure anymore!"Silas lost control and lunged at Nora, screaming, "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!”"I told you to shut your mouth!"Seeing him nearly choke Nora to death, I shouted to stop him, "Enough!"Silas, I suggest you surrender now before you make things worse."He let go of Nora, shaking his head as he spoke, "No. Chally, we can start over.”"I'll get rid of her, and then I'll take you far away. That's all we need.”"Yes, that's the plan!"Before I could respond, Silas dragged both Nora and me to the edge of a cliff by the sea.The cliff was steep and jagged rocks lined the shore below. Tears dripped onto the back of my hand, jolting me back to reality.I then looked down at the camera in my hands. It was meant to capture the happiest moments of my life, but now it felt like a cruel joke. The door suddenly opened, and Silas Shaw froze the moment he saw me."Chally, what are you doing here?"And why are you crying? Is it... is it because you're so excited about marrying me?"I could sense the doubt and hesitation in Silas's voice, and a wave of deep disgust rose from within me."Silas, I'll ask you one thing. Do you truly want to marry me?"Silas was momentarily stunned, but soon, his familiar impatience resurfaced."The wedding's about to start. Why are you asking such a question now?”"Chaldene Simpson, can't you put away your spoiled attitude for once? If you keep this up, we might as well not get married."Each word pierced my heart like a knife, but I laughed anyway. Even now, he would not say a single word to comfort me.Was I really nothing more than

I returned to the home Silas and I shared.Everywhere I looked, there were traces of our life together; picture frames on the walls, a custom-made rug, and flowers in vases we had assembled together. Once, I thought this house symbolized my happiness. Now, I realized how foolish I had been.Although the picture frames held countless photos of Silas and me, Silas wore a cold, indifferent expression in every single one, while I played the fool, smiling like a clown. He always said he was not the type to smile, but I had seen the way he looked at Nora.It was the kind of look that naturally brought a soft smile to his lips. It was a smile of pure joy and genuine happiness, so different from the impatience he showed towards me.The house was filled with things. They were mine, Silas's, and things we chose together. However, when I looked closer, I realized almost everything had been chosen and bought by me.As for Silas, aside from his personal belongings, there was nothing he had

"As long as you're back, that's all that matters," my mother said."That's all that matters," echoed my father.Beside me, my best friend, Lacey Gilbert, patted my shoulder while wiping away her tears. "If you hadn't let us know you were safe, we would've been scared to death."No one asked why I had run away from the wedding or why I suddenly disappeared on a solo trip for a month. It was as if none of it mattered anymore. On the way home, my brother, Caleb Simpson, spoke softly to me. "Chally, we will always be your strongest pillar of support. There will be countless chances to make things right in your life."I held back my tears and nodded firmly.…The moment we arrived at the house, Liam Addams, our butler, hurried over and whispered, "Mr. and Mrs. Simpson, Silas is here with some other people."Hearing this, my mother's expression darkened. "How dare he come here? Who let him in?"Seeing Caleb getting ready to get out of the car and confront him, I quickly stopped him.
