Chapter 60

Amelia’s pov

“Do you understand?” Lady Rosa repeated for the third time and I still avoided her gaze, “why do I have to see when they are unexpected guest?” I questioned and that made Lady Rosa rushed up to me with a frown and pulled my chin up aggressively as she stared deep into my eyes that I could feel pain.

“You better get ready before they move to have breakfast.” She warned with a voice more like a whisper.

“And who are to tell me what to do?” I replied back with a frown and aggressively pushed her hands away from my chin before standing up.

“I can take good care of myself and you don’t have to involve yourself in my matter do you get that? I am not crippled and if I would remind you I once took perfect care of myself before you came and started treated me like a fake princess when I am the queen!!!” I yelled in anger and left their scene and walked directly into the bathroom as I took a shower on my own and stared at the transparent door in front of me to make sure they all left before I came out and to my surprise they walked out.

“Assholes.” I muttered and immediately I recalled my intimacy with Luther and that made me more pissed as I turned on the water to very hot, making sure to burn my skin till it was red as I hoped it would wash away Luther from my skin.

I came out and my dress and shoes were already ready even with the hairpin and accessories I was meant to style myself with.

I picked up the dress and it was obviously worth more than any of my dresses, “why do I have to dress so expensive to see those betrayals and lowlife’s.” I muttered before carefully putting on my dress and every other things.

“And it looks so beautiful.” I muttered before walking out of the bedroom with my head up high,

I walked through the hallway with confidence and even the guards were amazed by how good I looked.

I took a deep breath and adjusted my dress before opening the door slowly to see Isabelle and kade talking and Alpha Rozan and Alpha Damien were chuckling with all the brides in their formal seat with my seat still very vacant.

I stepped in and everyone eyes turned to me with kade unable to even blink and Lucy scoffed, Alpha Damien had a wide smile on his face with proudness evident on his face, I bowed at all of them before slowly walking to my seat which Alpha Damien pulled out for me before I got there, I know I was supposed to be happy that he was treating me like a queen but I knew any little mistake from me could lead to being beaten up almost to death which I wasn’t ready to witness.

“Amelia.” Isabelle called out to me as I turned my gaze to her, a face smile on my face.

“Isabelle.” I called back at her and not even for once gazing back at kade who couldn’t stop staring, just then my gaze fell on Alpha Rozan who stared at me weirdly for a little while before standing up and opening his hands widely.

“You won’t come and greet this old man who missed you so much?” He said to me and even though I could sense it in his voice that he wasn’t happy with me I still stood up and hugged him tightly and even though it was for a short while I felt how distance he had become from me and faked a smile before taking my seat, I knew this meeting wasn’t just ordinary and something was about to transpire.

Lucy had a weird smile as she ate her food and for some weird reasons the other brides avoided my stare like something was wrong, I decided to take up the courage and ask why we were summoned for a meeting.

“Why were we called here?” I asked making Lucy drop her spoon and looking shocked.

“Amelia, your family.” Lucy warned with a tone hunch seemed like she was only looking out for me.

“Why are you calling my name, I only asked a question and beside they abandoned me.” I said loud enough for everyone to hear.

“Amelia, quietly be quiet as we wait for the table to be complete then we can begin the meeting.” Alpha Damien said to me with a calm voice which I knew would defiyjave consequences later on.

I looked at the only vacant seat left and know it belonged to Luther, I held my breath in as Luther walked in as he dressed so elegantly, I am sure his father also instructed him to dress that way.

“Sorry for coming late.” Luther said before taking a seat and stil not staring up at the guest but just as he took his seat his gaze fell on them.

“Are it’s our guest?” Luther asked and I could tell that Isabelle had fallen head over heals for Luther.

“Yes, they are out special guests as families of Amelia.” Alpha Damien replied Luther who nodded in understanding.

“You mean the people who abandoned he and sold her to you .” Luther muttered.

“Luther!!!! Shut up!!” Alpha Damien yelled but it was of no use since Luther had already said it.

“Let us begin the meeting while we have breakfast.” He added and all attention was back on him.

“You called me few nights ago and told me your daughter here,was having nightmares which were terrible and you believed Amelia makes use of ….black magic.” Alpha Damien said making me drop my spoon in shock.

“Black magic?” Lucy sad before I could say anything and I knew this things wouldn’t go right anymore.

“What do you mean by black magic?” I asked making sure Lucy won’t say anything.
