94. Minor setbacks.

Dario’s POV

I walked down the silent corridors with bloodshot eyes. The stillness reflected the turmoil within me. Each step echoed a discordant beat due to my disturbed thoughts. Emotions swirled within me,and my composed demeanor dropped.

I hadn’t slept well in days. I was restless. When I passed a window, which showcased my reflection. I slowed down my steps, catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror.

My furrowed brows spoke volumes, displaying the frustration dwelling in me. My hair was sticking out of place, not that I was bothered by it, but it added to the fact that I was angry.

I picked up my steps, walking faster. As I traversed the corridor, my mind replayed the fruitless hours spent combing through leads. The days were counting, and still nothing was forthcoming. No news about Isla, not even a clue. What if I never find her?
