92. glimpses of silhouettes

Isla’s POV

I got up very early the next day, I had scheduled a meeting with the lawyer

and I didn’t want to miss it. The chilly morning air , made it difficult for me to get in the shower so I just threw a coat over my body glancing at the mirror to see the condition of my hair.

“Not bad!” I said out loud, adjusting the edges with the side of my hand, before heading downstairs. Everywhere was empty, and the person behind the receptionist desk wasn’t the same person I saw yesterday. It was a man, that was stationed there this time and he had a dull look on his face which made it seem like the last place he wanted to be was here.

‘Poor guy!’ I cooed inwardly, flashing him a smile when our eyes met. When I got outside the hotel, the lawyer was just arriving. He had a broad look on his face as he came down from his car. The minute his eyes buried in his glasses collided with mine, they lit up. He extended a warm smile my way and a hand too.
