Isla's POV

I stood alone amidst the towering trees of the forest. My gaze fixated on the spot where Dario's retreating figure had disappeared from view. Each step he took felt like a dagger through my heart, each movement widening the chasm between us until it felt insurmountable.

"This can't be happening," I mummer, feeling a wave of pain crash against my chest, threatening to engulf me in its suffocating embrace.

“What are you doing?” I heard Nima’s voice as she stirred in my subconscious. “Go after him, he's our mate. He belongs to us.” I wiped my tears as I contemplated Nima's words. “Thanks, Nima.” I thanked my wolf earnestly.

I refused to succumb to despair. With determination coursing through my veins, I chased after him, my steps fueled by the desperate hope that I could somehow bridge the chasm and reach him before it was too late.

I saw him entering the manor, and I rushed in with him, hoping to catch him and probably find a way of changing his mind about us. But

Isla's POV The morning sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm glow across the room as I blinked away the remnants of sleep. I woke up feeling heavy-hearted, the events of yesterday weighing on my mind like a dark cloud. The fight with Dario echoed in my thoughts, each word and glance piercing me with sadness and frustration. That sick bastard, when would he learn that I'm willing to be with him despite everything? I thought as I tried to make my way to the bathroom to chuck some water on my face. But despite it all, my love for Dario remained steadfast. I sprayed some water on my face to clear out the last remnants of sleep still in my eyes. I looked at myself in the mirror, and all I could see was a girl with a determined spirit. Yes, I was determined to find a way to make things right, to complete the mate bond and claim him as mine. I loved him; I was sure he loved me, too. It's his responsibility as Alpha and my relationship with him as a goddaughter. That's wha

Isla's POV The school's teachers hurried to separate us, their voices raised in a futile attempt to quell the rising tension. Silvan and I found ourselves escorted to the principal's office alongside the three girls involved in the altercation. As we sat in the cramped office, tension hung heavy in the air, thick and suffocating. Silvan shot me a sideways glance, his expression tense with suppressed anger. "This is a mess," he muttered under his breath, his voice tight with frustration. I nodded in agreement, my emotions running high as I struggled to contain the turmoil within me. "I can't believe this is happening," I murmured, my voice barely above a whisper. One of the girls, her face flushed with indignation, turned to me with a sneer. "You think you're so special, don't you?" she spat, her words dripping with venom. I bristled at her accusation, my temper flaring in response. "I'm not the one starting fights for no reason," I shot back, my voice sharp with defiance. “A

66: Don’t Push Your Luck, Isla.Isla's POV Dario's eyes bore into mine with simmering anger, his voice cutting through the tense silence like a knife. "Are you really going to make this difficult, Isla?" I squared my shoulders, refusing to back down. "I won't write anything," I replied defiantly, my voice steady despite the emotions raging within me. He scoffed, a hint of disbelief colouring his expression. "You're being stubborn for no reason, Isla," he retorted, his frustration palpable in every word. "Stubborn?" I echoed, my voice rising with indignation. "You're the one trying to force me to do something against my will. Who's really being unreasonable here?" Dario's jaw clenched, his patience wearing thin as he struggled to maintain control. "This isn't about being reasonable, Isla. It's about doing what needs to be done," he argued, his tone bordering on exasperation. "But what if I don't agree with what you think needs to be done?" I countered, my voice tinged with

Isla's POV I stirred from my makeshift slumber on Dario's couch. The events before I fell asleep came flooding, and I grit my teeth in anger and frustration. How dare he? How dare he do this? What more do I have to do? Despite my best efforts to seduce him, to entice him with my scent and my body, he had remained resolute in his restraint. It was a bitter pill to swallow, knowing that he had been able to resist me despite my longing. I heard the door to Dario's office open and quickly shut my eyes. I kept my eyes closed, feigning sleep as Dario's strong arms lifted me gently, cradling me against his chest as he carried me back to the car, which sent butterflies fluttering in my stomach. It took everything in me not to wake up and hug him tightly, never letting go, but I managed to restrain myself as he took me to the car and placed me in the back seat. He even got a pillow to keep me comfortable. He got into the driver's seat, started the car and drove off. I continued fei

Isla's POVAs the first light of dawn kissed the sky, painting it in vibrant hues of pink and gold, I felt a familiar surge of energy coursing through my veins. With practised ease, I laced up my running shoes, anticipation tingling in the air as I prepared to embrace the freedom of the forest. With a deep breath, I surrendered to the transformation, the exhilarating rush of power sweeping over me as my human form gave way to that of my wolf. My senses heightened, I took off into the woods, the earth soft beneath my paws as I moved through the dense underbrush with effortless grace. The world blurred around me as I lost myself in the rhythm of my stride, the rhythmic pounding of my heart matching the steady cadence of my steps. 69: Isla's POV Sitting in class felt like an eternity. Despite the teacher's best efforts, I couldn't focus on the lesson. My mind was consumed by thoughts of the research awaiting me in the library. Every tick of the clock felt like an eternity, and I found myself silently willing time to move faster, desperate to escape the confines of the classroom. Come on, let's get this over with. My impatience grew with each passing minute, and a restless energy thrummed beneath my skin. I couldn't shake the sense of urgency propelling me forward, driving me to return to my research as soon as possible. As the seconds dragged on, I felt a sense of frustration bubbling within me, a relentless desire to break free from the confines of time and space. If only I possessed the power to manipulate time, to make it bend to my will and hasten my journey back to the library. But alas, time remained steadfast, unmoved by my silent pleas. I could only endure the agonising crawl of minutes until the

Isla's P.O.VThe sound of falling books echoed through the library as I bent over to arrange the dusty books I had toppled over in my hasty escape. Carefully placed them back in their various positions on the shelf, satisfied that I had managed to run a few shelves away from Silvan. I think he got the message anyway. He should not come running after me again.I still couldn’t figure out what that flash of light was. Was I being trailed? I felt goosebumps crawl my skin as I imagined a stranger in the shadows watching my every move. As I moved further into the library, Nima stayed on full alert because we were curious now. Try as we may, we did not feel a human presence. Digging deeper, I try to tap into my powers as I continue to look around. I moved books around, stacked tables against each other, looked under the tables and went as far as climbing one of the tables to get a better look at the far ends of the large space. I climbed down, stuck in a spot, as I tried to come up with pl

Isla’s POVAdrenaline was still coursing through my veins, and that near-something incident that happened with Silvan filled me with rage and exhaustion. I wished I had a wand or something to move the desire Silvan deluded himself with to Dario. Out of the school and out of Silvan's reach for the rest of the day, I became confused about what to do and where to go till it was closing time. Of course, I could not possibly go home and risk Dario throwing a barrage of questions at me.As I racked my brain, Diane’s bright and sunny smile flashed in my mind, and I grinned. That was it!Even better was that her house was close to the academy, plus I would finally get to see a visual painting of the place my mom grew up in. “Hello, princess,” she chirped dramatically from the other end of the line, her energy so full and pure that I allowed myself to get lost in that for a full second. “Guess who is finally coming over…” I trailed off. “You?” “Yes!” I replied. At first, she was mute,

Five years later. I woke up to the sound of my children's excited voices, their laughter cascading through the air like a warm, familiar embrace. Pulling my eyes open, I gradually focused on my daughter. She was standing really close to me, with her hands crossed behind her back "Mommy, come downstairs! Quick!" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. Her hands, which were crossed behind her back, moved forward to touch mine. "Mommy, come on! Quick!" she exclaimed, with a higher pitched tone. I tried to understand my daughter’s sudden need for me to go downstairs. I glanced at the clock on my bedside, and I realized it was just eight in the morning. It was quite early. Very early. I sighed, turning to look at Selene who seemed to have given up. When she saw I wasn’t budging she let go of my hands and headed out of the room. Then she returned few seconds later, with a pretty determined face. “Mom, this is really important.” Not long after she said those words ,

Isla’s POVThe night was quiet. The only sound breaking the stillness of the air was the soft rustle of leaves outside our window. I lay in bed after I had managed to put my daughter to bed, dozing off. Suddenly, a cry pierced the silence, a sound that jolted me awake. My eyes flew open, my heart pounding, and without hesitation, I swung my legs over the side of the bed, my bare feet meeting the cool wooden floor as I rushed towards the nursery. Dario, who had heard the sound of our daughter’s cry, rolled out of bed. He walked behind me, his steps slower than mine.I pushed open the nursery door when I got there. Dario and I had put the nursery in order some days ago. Actually, Dario had done all the work; I just stood there watching him since he wouldn’t let me help.Gliding past the entrance, I felt a surge of warmth fills me at each step. I moved to the crib, which was adorned with soft blankets and stuffed animals. Then I reached for my baby, cradling her gently in my arms."Hush

Isla’s POVI stood wrapped in Dario’s arms, with my heart racing with excitement.. Dario, had just proposed to me.It all felt surreal like none of it was true and I was leaving in the walls of my imagination, but as I glanced at the sparking gem in my hands. I knew that, this was far from being surreal. It was real and I was going to get married to the man of my dreams. If someone had told me some months back that I would end up with Dario. I would never have believed that person, but here I was today, leaving my dreams.Dario pulled his hands away from me, he placed a soft kiss on my ringed finger, then he moved his hands to my face.“My Luna!” He said softly. I blushed not hiding the fact that I was filled with joy. During that moment, the thought of spilling everything that happened to my parents crossed my mind. Dario’s POVI walked into the mansion with Isla by my side. Finally, the battle was over.I stared at her as those thoughts settled in my mind. The victorious look in her eyes was not so different from mine. She must have noticed that I was staring at her because she looked my way, and I noticed as tears began to full from her eyes.“We did it!” She said with her lips curved up. “We finally did it!”“You did it!” I said moving close to her. I wrapped my hands around her body, planting a kiss on her forehead. The joy in my heart couldn’t be contained, and right now the only thought on my mind was finally seeing my child—my daughter. My hands which were on Isla uncurled and my eyes swerved in the opposite direction staring at Jonas.“Inform the men to take care of the bodies and clean everywhere up.” Jonas nodded at my reply, after that was said I turned to look at Isla.“Let’s go see our child.” Together, we made our way up the stairs, crossing the bodies that were at the staircase.

Isla’s POV The battle unfolded before my eyes, as I ran upstairs. I watched as more of the attackers stepped into the mansion walls with their weapons in their hands. It seemed that Dario had called upon on his men from the human base because I noticed that among those attackers were men far more armed and ready to take down whoever dared to stand in their way.As I ascended up the stairs the sounds of body dropping to the ground filled my ears. A sign the men were already taking action.“Do you think it’s going to work?” Nima’s voice spilled into my mind as I continued to walk.“What is?” I questioned, trying to grasp what she was trying to say.“The plan you have to weaken the cursed blood.”“I know it will. The fact that this idea crawled into my mind means it will work and if it doesn’t we would find another way.”Nima didn’t say any words after and I focused on the hallway ahead of me. I arrived in front of the room where my grandmother was staying with Diane and my baby. I tr

During that moment I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. The feeling was so strong and I knew what it meant.“I think the baby is coming.” I said.“Isla, are you sure?” Diane asked.“Yes.” I screamed. “It is time.”My eyes which was once on Diane landed on my grandma who looked shocked. With a raised tone she spoke up, running towards the hallway to get a hold of the guards.“We need to get to the hospital now!” I could hear my grandmother say. “We can’t waste anytime.”Diane moved close to me she help

  • Wanting My Lycan King Godfather   152. "We will conquer this"

Dario’s POV (2 months later)Time flew by very quickly, and the arrival of my daughter was closer than I expected it to be. The joy of becoming fatherhood filled my heart , but underneath that joy was fear. I couldn’t shake off the thoughts that I might mess things up or something would go wrong somewhere. No matter how many times I tried to convince myself internally that handling things after the child was born would be an easy task those treacherous thoughts would return.Kai on the other hand felt otherwise and I wasn’t surprised. The joy in his heart was one he wasted no time to spread for instance this morning.I had gotten up much earlier than usual. The sky was still dark, and from the looks of it. It would take a while before the sun would arrive.I made up my mind to jog, well that wasn’t my first choice. After, I couldn’t fall asleep and the fear about being a terrible father had taken over my mind. Kai ever so considerate had suggested that I head out for a run.“Running

Silvan’s POV Months had passed since I had set my eyes on Isla. My mind wasn’t at rest. I wanted to see how things were going with her and how she was doing even if it was just getting a glimpse of her.I made up my mind the following week to do so. With my men going to the pack for an attack, Dario would be out of the house making things so much easier. At the arrival of the following week, I set out to the pack . I had taken a narrow route, instead of the main path so I wouldn’t be seen. I bursted out at a trail which stretched out into the forest that was pretty close to Dario’s mansion.I parked my car there, and continued on foot. It was pretty difficult navigating through the path on foot but I managed to find my way. The top of the mansion looked at me as I reached the end of the forest. I inched closer until I arrived at the main road. I made my way down the road that pointed to the mansion entrance and when I got there, I realised only two guards were stationed outside.A

If Dario could handle the first attack then I was sure he could handle whatever was thrown his way this time.I walked into the house, Grandma was waiting in the sitting room with Diane. The minute I stepped into the sitting room they turned my way.“Are you fine Isla?” Diane was the first to speak up and I smiled her way. “I’m okay, a bit scared but fine.” I took my seat close to her and she shot me a calm look. “I know he’ll be able to handle whatever comes his way.” I added.“Of course.” My grandmother joined in the conversation. “The only thing I’m concerned about is why this people keep coming back.”“I wonder the same thing too.” Diane said. “It’s strange.”“I feel like they’re here for something and they are yet to get it.” I said casually.
