29. Smelling Like Dairo

Isla’s POV

I was touched by the concern and worry in Dario’s eyes. It had been a while since I had seen him this way.

The sound of Dario’s voice made me pull myself out of my thoughts. I looked at him before I shut the door, then locked it just as he instructed.

Immediately, I locked the door and windows. My mind wondered what had happened that day. It had been a crazy and scary day.

Every single event that occurred seemed to replay in my mind like a broken record. I dropped down on the bed, then I placed the items in my hands beside me, lowering myself on the bed.

My eyes were on the ceiling now, and I stared at it, with thoughts jumping in and out of my head. I tried to unravel the mystery of my pheromones.

This was the first time something like this happened, even during my first transformation. It never occurred, so what happened?
