137. "Bastard?"

Isla’s POV

I stared at Diane blankly trying to process her words. I didn’t know what to say or how to reply. At this point, I was regretting telling Diane. I wished I had just kept it to myself. Dario was going to be so pissed once he found out. I could already imagine how he was going to feel about all this.

“Gosh!” I exclaimed inwardly. “Why did I have to take this step? I should have just kept all this to myself. What was I going to do?”

Actually, I knew there was nothing that I could do Diane already knew. The only option I had was to wave it off. That is if it was going to end up working but, it was worth the try.

“Isla!” Diane’s voice bore into my thoughts. “You need to tell me who the father is.”

“There’s nothing to worry about!” I said. “Just forget that I told you.”

“Impossible Isla.” Diane said. “How do you expect me to forget something so huge?”

“That’s because it doesn’t matter.”

“Why are you hiding this from me?” Diane’s voice cracked. “I thought we were cousins.”
