ATHENA'S POV.

Seeing Lorrie had felt like seeing a stranger, but immediately I caught a whiff of her cologne— a cologne she had terribly loved, and used continuously over the years, I could feel the same feeling I always felt when I was around her.

It took me back to memory lane, on a nostalgic ride. The unhappiness, the fear, the cautiousness…

It was simply overwhelming, and it felt like I was going to cry just by recalling those miserable days. I blinked immediately. Her first impression of me after all those years, wasn't going to be that of an emotional coward. I wasn't the same woman I used to be. I had grown into what I ought to be.

Her voice was the worst. Her voice that I had heard so much. The voice that had been the subject of my nightmares. It was all too much, so I barged past her, and decided to stop thinking, and cut to the chase.
