Myth Becomes Real

TRISTAN'S POV.

As I watched Athena go, I couldn't help but imagine myself going back to that day. I would have been content with just finding yarn in the barley field, and going to the beach.

I would have never entered the house in the first place. That was where everything had gone wrong. The elders all looked worried, and when they were worried, it wasn't a good thing.

I had never believed in ghosts, but I knew they weren't to be messed with. They were mostly vengeful souls, who couldn't leave the world due to some reason or the other. They became stuck. I closed my eyes, and tried to tell myself Athena would be fine. I was just getting too worked up.

A minute later, my mind was thinking things again. The elders were unable to guarantee her safety. What if Athena ended up angering them in some way or the other? It didn't help things that she was carrying a child with her.

What if one of them decided to go into the child? Those movies my friends' wives were obsessed with, always
