Something Distrubing

Addison’s POV

Hayden and I were now on the veranda, away from the crowd of the wedding party, and Hayden didn't seem to mind that I asked him to accompany me there. I felt a little guilty for him having to leave the party, where he hadn't congratulated the bride and groom yet.

I just wanted to avoid Damon there and try not to make trouble. Why do we always have to meet in a place where I don't think he and Cora will be? Isn't it annoying that we're always in the same place?

We sat next to each other on a hanging swing that happened to be there, with our hands still holding our respective drinks. I looked up at the sky, which looked beautiful tonight with stars. I always liked the night sky, especially with so many stars, because I could make constellations out of my imagination.

I looked up, smiling at the sky. "It's so quiet here," I muttered softly.

"Don't you like the party atmosphere?" Hayden asked as he turned to me.

I shook my head. "I don't like crowds and parties like that."
