Two days had passed, and until now Addison's condition was not very good, as she was also still unconscious from the post-surgery. I was frustrated and feeling uneasy. So this is how people who are waiting to hear from a loved one who is still lying unconscious feel?

Oh, I did love Addison, even when I asked her to marry me. But I messed up and became like this. Full of regret. I know this is the punishment I must receive because I deserve it.

I haven't come into the office in two days. Jared took over all the work. Sometimes, Jared would send some files for me to review via email, or he would come to the house to see me in person. I was lucky to have Jared, my confidant, for a long time. I don't know if he's not with me.

Ever since Addison's surgery, I've been lackluster. I don't know if I've lost my zest for life. All I want is for Addison to wake up soon. Maybe after that, I'll return to normal, living and doing whatever it takes without thinking about anyone else.
