Sapphire drew her brows together as Aidan said and she scoffed.

Was he stupid?

Now that she was thinking of it, she did not know why she had liked this man.

Back then, she had believed he was everything she needed in a man and more and she loved that he loved her.

Because she did not grow up with love, she was going to do anything to keep their relationship going.

She was scared that her parents were going to hurt him.
