Lily's POV. Vee and I couldn't go to the doctor's appointment because Vincenzo was constantly watching our every move, he even went as far as appointing two guards to breathe down our neck when he wasn't available to do so. It was really annoying the hell out of me, and making me worried too. I really wanted to know if something was wrong with my baby and the only other choice I have is to tell Vincenzo about it, but I just didn't know how to tell him about it. He's been doing so much already to keep the baby safe and I felt guilty for wanting to add to his stress. Especially when there is the possibility that nothing might be wrong. I thought about how much my life has changed in just a span of one and a half week. I found out my ex boyfriend and father of my child is a mafia boss. My life and that of my baby's is in danger. The lies. The secrets. And most importantly, the possibility of losing our baby. Call me selfish but, sometimes I feel like my life would have been a lot b
Lily's POV. A sharp pain from my lower belly woke me up, I grimaced. I groaned sleepily as I try to find a comfortable position. I stirred on the bed, and sat up as the pain eased a little and I managed to get up on my feet. My belly felt heavier than before as I made my way into the bathroom to take a shower. Showered and dressed, I carefully made my way out of my room and down the stairs. The Romano family were already seated for breakfast, with Vincenzo sitting furtherest away from his mom, he was sat at the head of the table looking as handsome as always. I did not just think that. Vita was sitting beside her mom speedily typing on her phone. She never seemed to leave that device. Carla was thankfully cheerful today. She seemed to have gotten over her son's behavior towards her a few days ago. Ever since Vincenzo confronted his mother he never came down for breakfast or dinner, he stayed cooped up in his room or at work, until today. Carla notices me and gave me a war
Vincenzo's POV. The second we made it to the hospital, I immediately pulled the car to a stop and called out for an emergency stretcher. I carried her into my arms as the nurses wheeled the stretcher to our direction and placed her on it. They immediately wheeled her inside and into an emergency room, I attempted to follow them into the room but I was was stopped by a doctor. I glared at him and grabbed his collar. "What the fuck is wrong with you?" I growled darkly. "I'm sorry, Mr Romano. But you're not allowed to be in the emergency room until we're sure what's wrong with her." The doctor spoke nervously. He should be nervous, alright. Because I'm seconds away from strangling the life out of him only one thing stopping me. Lillian. I tightened my grip on his collar." Now listen to me carefully, if anything happens to her or my child. I promise to make sure you don't have a career anymore, at least not in this lifetime." I seethed, making sure he knew how serious I was with thos
Vincenzo's POV. After waiting for five long hours, the doctor finally came out of the emergency room. The large door opened and the doctor and nurses stepped out.Five long hours of sitting at a very far distance away from them. I tried to search the doctor's expression to catch a glimpse of something - anything that would tell me she was fine. But I saw nothing. The doctors have learned how to mask their expression from the early stage of their career. My mother and Vita rushed over to him and gazing at him expectantly. "D-doctor how is she?" My mother asked. The doctor didn't give anything away. "Are you her mother?" He asked. "I'm her fiancée and I would suggest for you to start talking before I lose my shit." I spoke, casting him a dark glare. He cleared his throat, trying to act unaffected but I could see right through him. Except for the answers I eagerly wanted to hear. "There is no cause for Alarm. Spurts of blood are normal during the third trimester of pregnancy. " H
Lily's POV. A few days have passed since I was admitted to the hospital. And I have come to the conclusion that I hated hospitals. The boring white walls and tasteless food was starting to irritate me, thankfully I will be discharged today. Carla, Vita, Rico and even Antonio were the only company I had. They kept me company throughout the day. I think Antonio and I have agreed to be civil to each other because he wasn't scowling at me every second of the day. I appreciated their company, because if not for them, I would be drowning in my biggest fears. The doctor had told me about the risk of losing my baby or having a premature birth and I try to put up a cool facade with them. But they saw right through it when I would space out during our conversation. Vincenzo has been checking up on me too. But he never stayed to talk to me. He would only inquire about my health and ask if I needed anything before leaving. It hurts me that he isn't speaking to me, but I know it's all my faul
Lily's POV. The months flew by quickly and before I knew it, It was already nine months. Within this past two months my belly grew bigger that I couldn't see my feet when I stood. Sleeping has become so uncomfortable, I just never seem to find a comfortable position to lay in. My hormones have been all over the place, but the Romano's never complained about it. Penny and I have been talking more often during the past few months. Vincenzo has been extra protective of me, and it became worse when the doctor announced that I could go into labor anytime. He never let me walk down the stairs alone and if he wasn't there to do it, Vee would do it. He has decided to forgive his sister for not telling him about the bleeding, it would be unfair to forgive me and still be angry with her. So far, there haven't been attacks from his rival. It was peaceful but I didn't forget about it. I knew it was the calm before the storm. Everyone did. The security were still intact and the soldiers were a
Two hours passed by painfully slow. I've been pushing and pushing and at some I felt like I was about to fall apart. The pain was so intense that I didn't think I could do it anymore. Beads of sweat broke out of my forehead. My hair was a mess and the nurses are urging me to continue pushing. "Push!" I ground my teeth as I pushed again and collapsed on the bed breathing heavily. "Please get Vincenzo. I don't . . . think I can do this." I gasped as another strong contraction hit me. "I'll go get him." One of the nurses said and got out of the room. "You have to continue pushing. Your husband will be here any minute." If we were in another situation, I would've corrected her. But all I wanted to do right now was get this damn baby out of me. A few moments later, the nurse returned with Vincenzo trailing behind her. He came to my side and held my hands giving it a comforting squeeze, he gently brushed my hair from my forehead. Tears blurred my vision as another contraction hit the p
Lily's POV. I woke up to the sight of Vincenzo carrying our sleeping son. I watched quietly as he gazed at Leandre with a soft expression on his face. The sleeping baby squirmed and nuzzled gently into his father's chest. Vincenzo finally turned to me and smiled gently in my direction causing my heart to beat a little faster in my chest. "Have you been awake for long?" I shook my head. "I was enjoying the view." I admitted sheepishly. "I -" His words were interrupted by a shrill cry. For such a small baby, Andre had the lungs of an adult. Vincenzo winced a little at the sound making me chuckle. I scooped him into my arms. I made myself conformable by sitting up with my back straight and lap flat. I loosened the hospital gown a little enough to bring out my breasts. He immediately stopped crying and latched on my nipple. Vincenzo watched me with dark eyes and that was when I realized my other breast was bare. I quickly covered it up blushing in embarrassment. "Now now, you don'

She was naked, tied and cuffed to a queen sized bed. Her skin was covered in sweat, and her nipples hardened into a tight bundle of nerves. She felt light fingertips on her belly, tingles sparked as her body reacted to his touch. He stroked her thighs, and the hand trailed to her sides until it reached her breasts. He placed his hands on her breasts, pinched her nipple causing her to gasp out in pleasure. She arched her restricted body closer to his fingers. “Do you like that?” A deep gruff voice asked, making her open her eyes slowly. She saw the silhouette of a man standing above her, but she couldn't see his face. She didn't miss the shadows of tattoos that marred his entire upper muscular body. He was tall, a looming figure of pain and death. His black hair fell over his face messily. Though she couldn't see his face properly, his black eyes held a darkness that shocked her. But she wasn't afraid of him and that's what surprised her. She craved his touch like the very air she
Vincenzo's POV. I walked into the basement with Rico trailing behind me. The Russian bastard was still knocked out cold. Before coming in, I had ordered Rico to bring a bucket of iced water. Giving him a nod of confirmation, he slowly walked to the Russian and poured the freezing water on him. Sergio jumped awake, screaming profanities in Russian from his mouth. When he saw me, his eyes widened with fear. “I've told y'all everything I know! Boss didn't tell me anything! Please let me go!” After eleven years of being in the Mafia, I could proudly say I knew when someone was lying or not. And I knew this bastard was fucking lying to me. “Do you think lying will save you from dying? You think your little boss will come save your ass? Sorry to burst your bubbles, Sergio. But he doesn't give a shit about you.” He flinched at my words. Vincenzo eyed him. “Are you willing to talk now? Or I'll force it out of you.”Silence.I brought out my gun and aimed it at his eyes. “Alright, Alrig
NEW YORKPenny's POV. I walked into my apartment after a long day at work. The house has been boring ever since Lily left for Italy. I miss her a lot but I'm happy that she's finally back with Vincenzo who she never got over. I brought out my keys to unlock the door, but to my surprise the door was open. My mind skipped with fear at the thought of a thief being in my house. But a thief couldn't possibly turn on the television and watch a movie. With a little more boldness, I opened the door enough to take a peek and breathed out in relief as I saw my boyfriend, Troy. He was watching a movie in the living room, quietly munching on a popcorn. I stepped into the living room, immediately catching his attention. He stood up with a sweet smile, pulling me into his arms and slamming his lips on mine. I dropped my hand bag on the ground and eagerly kissed him back, running my hands through his hair. We pulled away a few minutes later, breathing heavily. “You know, I'm really starting to
Lily's POV. “Don't talk back to me.” Vladimir said threateningly. “You might be my son's whore, but I will not tolerate disrespect from you. When he gets tired of you, he'll toss you away like he does with other sluts like you.” Vladimir laughed darkly and shook his head, before turning and marching away. I tried not to let his words get to me but I couldn't deny that his words stung. “Wow… your father is a dick.” I breathed out, with a fake smile, swallowing the lump in my throat. Vincenzo didn't say anything, he jaw set in anger. I moved to walk out of his office, so he wouldn't see the traitorous tears forming in the corner of my eyes. Vincenzo grabbed my wrist, he took a sleeping Andre to the small baby bed in the corner of the room, before finally turning to me. “Lillian.” I refused to look at him. “Lily, look at me.” I did as he said, shamefully wiping away the tears from my face. “I don't even know why I'm crying… It's not even a big deal. You can be with any woman you
Lily's POV. “This isn't the time for questions, Lillian. I have more important things to do.” Vincenzo retorted harshly. I felt hurt by his words but I refused to show it. Antonio announced that he was leaving, before shutting the door close behind him, leaving us. I noticed how Antonio stared at Vita like a lost puppy when he thought no one was looking. It was different from the usual scowl he always wore on his face. Makes me wonder if they perhaps have a history together? “Vince, I know you're still angry about what I said to you. Anger got the better of me, I didn't mean what I said. I'm sorry.” He didn't say anything as he walked over to me and took Leandre from my arms. Andre squealed happily on his father's arm. I can't get over the fact of how much Andre loves his dad. Whenever Vincenzo arrives from work and he sees him, he would giggle in excitement and stretch his hands in the air, motioning for Vince to pick him up. Vincenzo walked behind his desk and plopped down on
Antonio's POV. “What's going on here?” Vincenzo asked, raising his eyebrow. “Nothing!” Vita said loudly, before clearing her throat. “I mean, I was just asking him where you were. Right, Antonio?” Her eyes glared daggers at me, daring me to say otherwise. I matched her expression as I muttered, “Right.” Vincenzo looked between the two of us, before finally settling his gaze on his sister. “Why were you looking for me, Vita?” “I wanted to know if you've seen mom. I've looked everywhere but I can't find her. And I've also been trying her number but it's not connecting.” “Have you checked her room?” Vita nodded her head, her face morphing into a worried expression. “I checked her room. I've literally checked everywhere in this mansion, I still can't find her. D-do you think mom is missing, Vince?” Vincenzo didn't reply immediately and turned to me. “There's a tracking device on her phone. I want you to look for her location.” Together, we walked into Vincenzo's office. I op
Antonio's POV. “No! No! NO!” The Russian thrashed around trying to get away from the pain being inflicted on him. The thick ropes used in tying him up didn't budge. Vincenzo pulled the sharp blade from the Russian enemy's thigh as he spoke coldly, “Are you ready to talk?” The Russian sighed in relief as soon as the blade left his left thigh. He clamped his mouth shut, refusing to say anything and risk getting killed by his mafia. That wasn't particularly necessary anymore because I am certain that he wouldn't be leaving here alive. Not when my boss was this furious. Vincenzo wore a calm expression on his face, but I knew he was beyond furious. The calm expression was just a facade, after years of being in the mafia, I have learnt all the different types of emotions. Vincenzo walked to the large black suitcase, where all his different knives were. There was a different bag just beside it, containing a few of our weapons. The silver knives glinted in the dark room, after being used t
Lily's POV. I froze. The first thing that came to my mind was that my baby was all alone in his crib. I grabbed the first cloth I could find and put it on and scrambled to the door. Vincenzo grabbed a gun that I had no idea was under the bed and we immediately rushed outside. I quickly made my way to our son's room, the room was open and in disarray and what I saw next scared the living daylight out of me. Andre's cot was empty, as was the rest of the room. The color drained from my face and my hands shook in fear. I walked inside the room and searched everywhere, I even went as far as checking the bathroom. Empty. My baby was nowhere to be found. And I did the next thing that came to my mind. I screamed. Vincenzo burst into the room, looking ready to kill. When he saw the empty cot and the terrified expression on my face, his face grew emotionless. My hands trembled. “He's gone. M-my baby- where...?” My voice came out strained as a choked sob ripped from my lips. I fell to the
