CHAPTER 86: EXCELLENT MEMORY

The car becomes quiet again, which makes me nervous.

He's looking out the window, and I shift in my spot. "How do you know what they like?" I ask, which makes him turn to me.

"Huh?" he asks, confused.

"How did you memorize what they usually eat from here?" I ask.

He looks at our surroundings. "Oh." He turns back to me. "I just remembered what they used to get back in high school." He turns back to look out the window. "I don't know if they still like the same things, but I tried my best."

I hum in response. "You have an excellent memory then."

I go back to playing with the clip of my blue suspenders to try to kill time.

"Via, relax. I can hear the clinking." He continues looking out the window.

"Sorry, Mr. Perfectionist." I drop the suspenders and roll my eyes. "Keep looking out the window, pretend I'm not here." He turns to me, but I look out the window on my right side.

"Don't you think I don't try to do that?" His harsh voice makes me turn to him.

"What?" I ask, taken aback.
