Surpried was merely just an understatement. Those three words were, in no doubt, astoundingly shocking. But just when V thought that that was it, Ligaya continued to speak the more shocking part of her statement."My guardian asked for you. . .to be bound to me when the day comes that no one in our bloodline will bealive anymore except me." She uttered those words with utmost sincerity and the two boys in front of her; Marco, who was facing her and V, who was facing his back on her, were both taken aback. Back at the subdivision where V was living, everything still felt weird. Ligaya remained in the kitchen, doing her stuff while V discussed matters with Marco in his bedroom."To be honest, dude, I think you've gone crazy," started Marco who was now playing with a tennis ball while sitting on a couch at the corner of V's room. Tet V was silent, and Marco could tell that he was contemplating about everything."So, did you really mean it? Are you sure you're letting a stranger stay in your house for a month?" Marco added."What else can I do? I've already said it. Besides, she saved my life. Not the saving thing she was saying seven years ago, but the saving that she did last night. She saved me and without her, I could have been a cold corpse right now. It's the least I can do. And mind you, letting her in does not necessarily mean I believe what she said. After eating and buying some school stuff for Ligaya, V and her finally decided to go home. While driving, a sudden thought came into V's mind."Oh shit," V cursed under his breath. There was slight hint of annoyance in his face."What's wrong?" She asked. We didn't buy your....you know.""You mean those small pieces of cloth that are used to support the bosom and the gentalia?""Well, yeah. And I shouldn't be discussing this thing with you, for Pete's sake, you idiot!""Don't worry, I asked the lady earlier if they have some of those while you were away and they gave me some of it. • Vermilion   Chapter Sixteen: Punch

Few minutes passed by after V left the mall's men's section, he now had reached the place where he's heading to, the basement. There were 2 people waiting for him there, but they seemed to know each other as they nodded to one another's direction. One of them handed V a pistol, but V just refused to have it."Who the fuck are you kidding? We don't need guns for amateurs," he sounded authoritatively, thus making the two placed their guns at there side as they went to where the crime scene was taking place. As they approached, three men were seen setting a time bomb at one of the cars in the basement, and they seemed to pick the particular car intentionally."Doing some nasty things, huh, little ones?" V asked the three men seriously."What are you..who are you?!" The man at the back spoke angrily. They were now pointing their guns at V and his companions. But instead of freaking out, V and his men just stood there coolly an

  • Vermilion   Chapter Fifteen:

Inside Sinatra University were numerous buildings of assorted shapes and sizes. Few of them were the university's very own dormitories. There were four dormitories all in all. Two Kinetic (big) dorms, one for boys and one for girls; then two Potential (small) dorms, one for boys and one for girls as well.Kinetic Dormitories were designed for everyone from all walks of life who wanted to experience the Sinatra life more than ever, or those who were not originally from that city, while the Potential Dormitories were designed for scholarship recipients and such. Mia was one of them. The dorm she's living in was called the Tuberose Potential Dormitory. It was situated near the university's scholarship building and across the Nursing Department, thus making it a perfect place for her. Aside from its ideal distance to her department, it was also an ideal place for every student to even develop camaraderie since it's smaller than the usual dormitory size, as well as more homey

Ligaya looked at the boys blankly. This expression of hers did not surprise them anymore, although, they admitted that it did make them feel anxious most of the time."I don't need your money." she finally answered. All of them were disappointed, but Ligaya continued. "But I will help you.""Really?!" They asked in unison"In one condition.""What condition? Just so you know, we're rich. We could actually offer you everything you desire except, of course, our hot bodies," Marco said, feeling pleased with himself as he said the words "hot bodies," which, of course, made everyone except Ligaya grimace. Instead, she just lowered her emotionless eyes on his belly, butnot to size him up but rather to insult him, which pissed him off."I'll teach you, even carry you to pass all of your subjects if you apologize to Mia for all the rude things that you did to her and mean it. • Vermilion   Chapter Thirteen: Request

Mia was surprised when Ligaya showed up at their classroom's doorway after her class. She was used to have some visitors before, like Benjie and the squad, but they're annoying. Ligaya was a different case. She liked her honesty and peculiarity, and she actually thanked Nichole for being the catalyst of their friendship."Wow, I did not recognize you at once, you've changed your clothes, huh?" she smiled as they greeted each other."Yeah, they said I have to fit in," she responded nonchalantly."You look. . .better. I didn't know you like men's wear. And. . .you're still wearing your head scarf. Woah.""Just don't mind the scarf. It will be seen with me for the rest of my life. And these clothes are not mine. It's V's," she said without even a trace of hesitation or guilt. She seemed oblivious of Mia's little jealousy."Why did he let yo--""Don't misinterpret it. Don't accuse me, either. • Vermilion   Chapter Twelve: Message

Three large stones were thrown through the house's glass windows. Both of them looked shocked, even though fear was hard to be found on Ligaya's face. V furrowed his eyebrows and hurried outside to check on the culprit, Ligaya followed at once. But they were too late. The ones who did it had already run away with their car."What was that for?" Ligaya asked as soon as she got outside to follow V. V looked a bit agitated, although his whole aura seemed relax."A messege." He responded at once while looking at something on the ground. Ligaya followed his gaze and there on the ground, she saw a couple of dead scorpions which seemed to be placed there intentionally. Both were silent but none looked threatened, until V's phone rang."They just stopped by...I know...just a message. They want another meeting...I'll take care of it." He hanged up and looked at Ligaya's direction."Get inside," he said."What about you?""I ca
