Emelia's POV

" Well Fuck, you weren't lying after all " Mary exclaimed when I showed her the credit notification on my phone. Her voice had drawn the attention of a couple in front of us, they looked back at us curiously and then turned to kind their own business, though I swore the woman had taken a picture of us at one point. I made a shushing sound to Mary, reminding her once more to keep her voice down.

We were in a cosy restaurant in town. I used to come here with my parents when I was younger, they had the best dessert menu ever. Though it brought back some painful memories, and it reminded me of the fact that my parents and I weren't on speaking terms.

" He gave you 2 Million dollars as shopping money!"

" I know that. I still can't believe it myself "

" Damn girl, that's a man right there. Come one, I'm sure if you stayed with him for longer you would be swimming in cash "
