She-Devil

Seven years earlier...

"Emilia Carter!" the teacher's voice called out to me harshly. I was quick to snap out of my daydreams. I leaped to my feet so fast that I nearly knocked over my table. The rest of the class started laughing at me, and my whole face flushed in embarrassment.

"Sir?"

"If only you paid as much attention to class as you do to Damien, you would be a straight A student like your sister!"

My mouth fell open; I had no idea that even the teacher knew about my unhealthy crush on Damien. I was more ashamed because Damien was sitting right in front of me, and he had heard what the teacher had to say, but his expression remained forever blank. It was always hard for me to read what he was thinking.

"I am sorry, sir. I promise it won't happen again."

"I highly doubt it. Having a crush isn't a bad thing, but you need to learn how to control yourself, young lady. Now, sit down and pay attention, or else I'm kicking you out of class."

"Yes."

I slowly sank down into my chair. Some of my classmates were still giggling at me, but I didn't care about them; the person I was worried about the most was Damien. I was afraid that I had embarrassed him with my actions earlier, and I wouldn't know what to do with myself if he got angry at me.

The rest of the class went by very slowly, and I kept glancing at the clock anxiously, waiting for the moment I would get to talk to the boy in front of me. When class finally came to an end, I waited behind until everyone had cleared up, and only Damien remained in his seat. I knew his routine by now; he would remain seated here, waiting for Sasha until she was done with her own class and came to find him. Together, they would go to lunch. I had seen them countless times holding hands; in fact, the both of them were even crowned the cutest couple in the school. It hurt me very much. Sometimes I wondered what I had done to make Damien dump me; he had told me that he was in love with my younger sister and that he could no longer wish to continue a relationship with me.

"Damien."

I walked over to where he was seated and placed the box of chocolates I had spent all night making for him. "I made this last night. I know you said you don't like sweets, but this was one of my grandma's recipes, and I can promise you that you will love it. Just try one."

"I don't want your fucking trash." Damien said after taking one good look at the box; there was a nasty look on his face, like the fact that I had made him something was a personal insult. "Take it away."

"But I..."

"Are you deaf or something? I said take it away!"

He used his foot to kick the table, and the box of chocolates went flying all the way across the other end of the classroom. I felt my heart clench painfully in my chest as I watched all my hard work spill on the dirty floor. My eyes stung with tears as I turned to look at Damien; he was still glaring at me with disgust and hatred. What had I done wrong to make him treat me like this?

"I love you, Damien. All I've ever wanted was to make you happy." I said sadly. "Even if you don't want me anymore, why do you have to be so mean?"

"You are the person I like the least in the world. The sooner you accept that I love Sasha, the easier it will be for you. I wish you wouldn't always have to ruin my day by showing your face to me."

Damien shoved past me as he left the classroom. Slowly, I went over to pick up the chocolates on the floor. I brought one to my mouth and chewed slowly; the salty taste of my own tears made the chocolate taste bitter. I really wished it didn't have to be this way. Why did everyone I love always end up choosing my sister over me?

The woman is not someone you want to mess with " in a large and luxurious office, a man dressed in a dark suit said to his colleague. He was sweating despite the air conditioning in the room. A shiver ran down his spine as he recalled the meeting he just had with the CEO " I swear she might be the devil reincarnate "

" I heard that her eyes spat fire when she was pissed. they say she once fired an entire board of directors because one of them had suggested she needed the approval of her husband before making a decision in the company "

" she is very scary indeed. She seems to forget that she is only acting as a substitute due to her husband's illness. however, we can't deny that the company has been doing a lot better since she took over "

Both men nodded in agreement. the one who had spoken first opened a bottle of cold water to drink, he was hoping it would help calm his nerves. However he nearly chokes on the water when the familiar clicking of heels against the office floor was heard, it was a telltale sign of who was about to appear. one of the men quickly got to his feet and went to open the door even before the beautiful woman could even reach it. They all knew how much the I hated touching door handles.

They all held their breath as i entered the office. I was dressed in a white sleeveless shirt coupled with a knee length pencil skirt. My long dark hair was styled into a messy bun that gave a clear View of my beautiful face. My pouty lips were painted in red lipstick, I had done my makeup that day to give me a rather fierce look, I knew I needed to look as fierce as possible to be able to put these men in their plays. I was tired at all the gossip said behind my back

Her brown eyes shifted across the room, she smiled when she saw the men shaking under her intense gaze. She just loved exuding power and authority. " gentleman " she called in a voice that was both sweet and carried a trace of coldness " I believe that we still have a decision to make

My brown eyes shifted across the room, and I smiled when I saw the men shaking under my intense gaze. I just loved exuding power and authority.

"Gentlemen," I called in a voice that was both sweet and carried a trace of coldness. "I believe that we still have a decision to make."

"Yes, Mrs. Walker...we were just.." one of them stuttered.

"You either address me by my name or you call me boss. I won't accept anything else," I said, my eyes narrowing.

"Yes, boss," they replied in unison.

"Good. Now, I believe you were all against my decision to cooperate with West Enterprise. Is that correct?" I asked, my voice firm.

"Yes, boss. We really don't think it's wise for an Entertainment Company to cooperate with a law firm. Plus, the West Enterprise doesn't have a very good reputation in the market, their CEO is said to be arrogant and hard to deal with," one of them replied.

"Yes, I am very much aware of what kind of man Damian West is. However, I still wish to do business with him. My mind is already made up, and nothing you say can change it. In fact, I have already scheduled a meeting with him in two days. Prepare yourself, gentlemen," I said, turning around and walking out of the room before anyone could say anything to oppose me.

As I left, I could sense the men exchanging looks of disapproval, but none of them had the guts to say anything to counter me, the She-devil CEO. It wasn't worth losing their jobs over.

"She is terrible," the man who had nearly choked on his water said, wiping off the sweat that had gathered on his forehead once more. One of these days, I would give them all a heart attack.

I smiled to myself, knowing that my reputation preceded me. I was a force to be reckoned with, and I intended to keep it that way. I couldn't wait for the moment I would see my Ex husband again.
