"Just agree with Dr. Miller if he ever asks for your opinion. You don't have to interfere with the issue at the lab. I will take care of it."

Susan vaguely understood Caleb's intention, so she nodded slightly.

"I have to attend to other matters. Ms. Baker, you should go back now."

Ember was groggy from sleep inertia. She turned over subconsciously and felt the cold area next to her.

She opened her eyes drowsily, only to find that Caleb was no longer beside her.
