Ember trusted Caleb completely.

She nodded slightly at him and agreed readily, "Okay."

She wanted to spend more time with her mother.

After agreeing to the suggestion, Ember suddenly realized something. She then looked up at Caleb with a concerned look in her eyes and asked, "Will it delay your work?"

Caleb slowly curled his lip with a gentle look in his eyes.

He reached out, stroked Ember's head, and replied dotingly, "Of course not. I have left the company's affairs to Allen, so I don't need to worry about it.

"Your mother matters the most now."

It warmed Ember's heart when Caleb still stayed by her side despite the difficult time.

A smile blossomed across her fair face as she gently hugged Caleb and said gently, "Caleb, thank you for being willing to be with me all this time."

"What are you talking about? We are spouses. Of course I will always be with you."

"Alright, don't you have to go to the hospital later? I'll take you there before I head to the lab."
