Caleb spoke up before Ember could reject Hailey's request. "Did you notice anything strange before you went to bed at 12 am? Did Mrs. Sanders ever wake up?"

Hailey answered in detail.

"No. Madam Mia woke up during the day, but she fell asleep and never woke up at night. Dr. Miller checked on her before 12 am and said she's doing fine."

Caleb nodded, slowly narrowed his eyes, and said coldly, "I've heard enough from you."

Caleb's words made Hailey anxious.

"You can stay, but I'll get another caregiver to work with you."

Caleb did not think getting a new caregiver would change the situation. He was worried that the new caregiver might be as ignorant as the current one.

If there were two caregivers, they could take turns taking care of Mia and supervise each other. Ember could fire Hailey then if the same thing happened again.

Hailey breathed a sigh of relief and nodded heavily. "Thank you so much."

Ember had calmed down after visiting Mia and returned to the manor with Caleb.
