The man from earlier left to deal with some business. Penelope didn't intend to stay there either as she only aimed to get herself hurt.

"I think I have hurt my ankle." Penelope looked coyly at Ember.

"Caleb is not here. Just drop the act already." Ember felt disgusted looking at Penelope, so she was disdainful toward her.

To Ember's surprise, Penelope ignored her reminder and looked sincerely at her. "Dr. Sanders, I got injured, so it's natural that I have to get treated at your hospital. What does it have to do with Caleb? He's not a doctor."

Ember frowned, feeling a little confused.

Was this woman acting again?

Ember had fought with Penelope the last time they met, but why was Penelope being amicable with her right now?

She took a deep breath and replied cooperatively, "I'm going to get you a doctor now."

With that, Ember planned to leave.

"No! Dr. Sanders, I just need your help. As a doctor, you can't turn a blind eye on someone in need of help, can you?"
