After last night and this morning, twice, I slept for 10 hours straight, which means it's 9 o'clock in the evening.
Amy thought it'd ought to be fun to wake me up by jumping on my bed, literally shaking me awake in a very unpleasent way. After ten minutes of bugging me to get up, she finally succeeded in pulling me out of bed.
"We're going out!" She had told me.
An hour later, we were ready. After Amy forcing me into one of her dresses - which showed a lot more than I usually care to share - we finally got into her car and drove of to the nearest club.
"Let's go dance!" She shouts over the loud music and pulls me along with her to the dance floor. She never really gives me a chance to even reply before she starts dragging me away.
I smile at her excitement and give into the music as she dances against me. There's so little space, that I could feel occasional wondering hands on my body, which were neither mine nor Amy's.
One of the many guys from around us grabs my waist and pulls me closer towards him. I ignore the slightly uncomfortable feeling and pull Amy with me. She winks at me and smiles, telling me that the guy behind me is handsome.
I have no desire to provoke this guy into thinking he has a chance of getting me in bed, so I keep the dancing as friendly as possible. Which is harder than I previously thought, seeing as he keeps grinding against me. I could literally feel his bulge through his jeans. Nowhere near the size of Joshua's, was the first thing that went through my mind as the guy behind me nudges my neck with his nose.
"Whoa, whoa." I laugh whilst pulling away from the handsome stranger, or so Amy said, "that's quite enough." I try walking away, but he pulls me back against him. Amy had already left to get another drink, so I'm all alone in these unfortunate circumstances.
"Dude, let her go." I look to the side and instantly grin. My saviour.
"Sorry, bro. Didn't know she was spoken for." The guy says, before turning around and leaving. Before I could say another thing Lucas wraps his arm around me and guides me away from the dancefloor. I thank him for getting me out of that sticky situation and he tells me it's ok, by giving me a lopsided grin along with a wink.
"Where are we going?" I shout over the loud music, resting my head on his shoulder as we simultaneously walk away from all the loud noise.
"We got a table over there, Amy is already there with Joshua and Amanda."
"Amanda?" It's no surprise that Joshua is here with Lucas, seeing as they're closer in age than Joshua and Jason are. Joshua just turned 32 and Lucas is nearing his 25th birthday, so it's not really that much. Lucas and Joshua actually hang out a lot, that is how I got to know his better the last few years. He'd just come along on our night's out and nobody minded, till now.
"Yes, his date or somethin', she was there a few weeks back aswell. At his birthday dinner, remember?"
I scowl as I think about that hideous woman touching what's mine. "Oh yes, how can't I." I nearly hiss, causing Lucas to throw me a confused look, luckily he shakes his head and leaves it as it is.
I spotted Joshua and his date before he did me. The double take he did told me enough, he did not expect me- at all.
"Hi, you guys." I say sweetly, forcing a jolly smile onto my lips. I casually kiss Joshua on the cheek and greet Amanda sitting next to him. Joshua's hand squeezes my hand for a second before I pull away.
"Bella, what are you doing here?" Joshua asks, seeming utterly suprised by my presence.
I cover the feeling of a slight aching in my chest and smile at him, "I'm here with Amy. Such a coincidence to run into you two- three." I smile apologetically at Amanda whilst shooting daggers at her through my eyes. She doesn't notice or she decides to ignore it, because she only smiles as a reply.
"Right." Joshua says, "I guess we'll be going." He says turning to Amanda.
"No, don't leave on my part." I try to be as polite as one can be, but the burning pain in my chest with combination of Amanda sitting rather close to him, has me feeling anything but polite towards both of them. "We were leaving anyway, weren't we?" I turn to Amy who is absentmindedly drinking her cocktail. I hit her below the table and raise my eyebrows as she finally looks at me with a grunt.
"Oh! Yes! Yes." She nods, hastily finishing her cocktail.
"Bella." Joshua stands up from his seat and impels to pull me towards him. I could see the glint of motivation in his eyes, as he reaches me. I turn my head away from him and once again kisses his cheek whikst whispering into his ear. "I'll see you tonight, do not touch her." I slightly narrow my eyes at him and he squeezes my hand in reply.
I turn around and give Lucas a thight hug and once again thank him for rescueing me earlier.
"Nice meeting you, Amanda." I manage to say as Amy links our arms together.
"Likewise." She replies, giving me a smile once more. I could see in her eyes she was enjoying all of this as much as Satan would. She's bitch, she belongs in that burning pit.
That's just the jealousy talking, Bella. You are not that type of a girl.
Keep it together.
"Jesus that was awkward." Amy slurs drunkily as we drive our way home, thank God I didn't drink anything. Seeing as we forgot to make someone the designated driver.
"Tell me about it." I mutter back, "he's so not getting any tonight." I laugh flustered, even though I'm no where near happy.
"Oh- I wouldn't mind giv-"
"Amy, seriously, can you please keep your legs closed for a few seconds." I hiss.
She bursts out in a fit of giggles and repeatedly hits her own leg. I don't know why she does that, but whenever she find something really funny she starts hitting her leg. Not that I mind, I'm just really glad it's not my leg. She hits rather hard.
I laugh along with her at her silliness and manage to get her out of the car as we've made it to my apartment.
I push her towards my guestbedroom and get rid of her shoes before tucking her in.
"Thanks Bells, you're the best." She slurs whilst her words slowly invert into soft snores.
I kiss her forehead and let her be. I change into a more comfortable outfit and make myself some tea. After that I sit down on the couch, surrounded by nothing but silence, waiting for the culprit of my raging thoughts to show up.
"Why was she there?" I nearly shout as he sets foot in my apartment."I thought you'd be in bed by now." He says. I instantly get annoyed as he decides fo ignore my question.""You thought I'd be waiting with my bare ass in the air for you to pay a
Waking up to a scream was not what I expected when I fell asleep in Joshua's strong arms.I pry open an eye and see a shocked Amy standing in the livingroom. Her eyes as big as marbles and a hand clasped over her mouth."Shit." I curse and sit up,
"How did this even start, Bells?" Amy asks as she sips on her coffee in our favorite café. It's this cute littlr place that makes you feel like home. It's not like Starbucks or Mcdonalds. It's a small family café, with all homemade cookies and home brewed coffee."I don't really know, honestly. It just happened one day and we never stopped after that." I reply, thinking about the day we started all this.
"I have to go on a business trip tomorrow. I'll be gone for a week or two.""Oh- Ok, who's coming with?" I clear my troath when it starts closing in on me."Just me and my secretary, I got some business in Japan that needs to he taken care of. Jaso
He did make my world go boom. In many more ways than intended."Josh... this is wonderful." I gasp as he leads me through the trees, bringing me to a clearing."I promised, didn't I?" He looks down at me as he tightens his arm around my waist.
"Bella." Joshua whispers as he trails his fingers along my bare back."Hmm, yea." I grunt in reply. Most of my words silenced by my pillow."Do you think we should tell Lucas & everyone else about us?" He asks, I can hear he's asking me even th
Joshua grabs my hand and pulls me into the side of his body. "We have something to tell you.""Joshua." I hiss near his ear, while keeping a straight face towards Katherine and Lucas. They both look quite lost, which frankly I was too.
Joshua and I have been spending time together almost every day, not realizing time was passing by so fast & everything we did seemed so natural. I've never felt something like this before & I don't ever want to let it go.The thought of Joshua and I being apart felt weird to me. It felt like we've been together for so long by now, everything has fallen into place & is how it should be.
