Chapter 96: Waiting

Lucas shivered as he knelt on the chilly ground, and there were a variety of small and large wounds that were entangled with one another. Lucas's hair was disheveled, hiding the crisscross wounds that were on his face. Fresh blood seeped through the fabric and trickled down to the ground.

The entirety of Lucas's body was huddled into a ball and trembling like a dog. The look of shock was still etched into his features; his hands were fist-clenched, and for some inexplicable reason, the tips of his fingers had been ripped off. The horrifying sight that was created when fresh blood and flesh that had been crushed were combined in the same location was shocking to the eyes.

Not only did Lucas' body, but also his face was covered in freshly drawn blood. From the eyes, nostrils, and mouth, everywhere was bleeding.
