Chapter 82: Exploring intentions

Drake let out a sigh as his hand continued to gently stroke Miren's silky hair. It was obvious that he understood the issues that were still tangled up in Miren's heart; she was under the impression that he saw her as a replacement for Lyra. At first, Drake was like that; however, after spending some time with Miren, Drake realized that his feelings for Miren were genuine.

“Miren, we have a lot of time left. I will try to prove to you that it was the right decision to have you by my side.”

Miren smirked, smiling faintly.

“I never thought it would be the right decision for myself to be with you.”

The two of them were having a conversation when the mood in the room quickly changed for the worse. Because Drake did not wish to contribute to the unfavorable environment any further, he swiftly changed the subject.

"Miren, you're interested in hearing about Dylan, aren't you?"

Miren indicated with a nod that she, too, had come to this location to obtain information about Dylan.

"Alright, you
