Chapter 50: Fainting

The bracelet that was in Miren's hand slipped out of her grasp and fell to the ground, where it rolled several times on the uncomfortable red carpet.

Miren's eyes were filled with unease and worry as she stared blankly at the bracelet that was lying still on the floor.

Eva, who was standing next to her, acted as a quick second pair of hands to assist Miren in quickly picking up the bracelet from the floor and placing it back on the table. She anxiously observed Miren's face, then asked with concern.

"Lady, are you feeling unwell?"

Miren looked at Eva, but Eva's figure did not exist in her eyes. The blank gaze that Miren had fixed on the location where the bracelet had just landed on the ground remained there for some time. Her ears were assaulted by the cacophonous sounds, which left her feeling bewildered and uneasy at her core. Miren's heart was pounding and she was shaking as she clutched her chest and struggled to take a breath.
