Chapter 28: Violent struggle

Miren's introduction caused the shade of Drake's face to soften slightly. He was transfixed on her, examining her delicate features as if they were a bouquet. Miren is the one who initiates the conversation, but she deftly conceals her identity by not revealing her last name. Drake didn't believe there could ever be a woman with the same face as his Kyra; this is not natural and it is something that has been arranged. Miren will have a connection to Kyra.

Drake got to his feet and started to make his way toward Miren. The gentle and caring gaze that he casts upon Miren is truly admirable; that look was like that of a man who had finally found his woman after enduring a great deal of trial and tribulation.

"Hello there, my name is Drake Loyeal," he said.

Miren nodded, and she continued to ask.

“Can you tell me why you showed up at my house? I think your purpose in coming here is to see me and I want to hear why you did that.”
