prologue
It was peaceful and wonderful in Angel’s empire, trumpets were singing, clouds were dancing and angels were peacefully resting but a sudden appearance of Kram, stopped their calm and peaceful empire.
Kram, was the Archangel, highest above all angels. His wings were like billion of stars when it shines, too stunning that you couldn’t turn your eyes away, it was heavenliness that could warm one’s heart in just one glance.
Kram came near them with frowning eyes and lips, all the angels immediately stood up for they knew that there was something bad that happened the moment they looked at the Archangel’s expression. They slowly formed a line before him and bowed down their heads as they knelt one knee above the ground, as a respect for their superior.
“What’s the matter, Kram?” Xhagreb asked, one of the male angels, an old man around 2000 years old, who was guiding the little angels, his face was wrinkled but it was smooth and white as snow.
Kram faced everyone and deeply breathed slowly, worried and restless.
His wings slowly went down as he sighed in fear and worry, “A vampire was awakened in the human world,” he said, loud and clear for everyone to hear him. All eyes looked at him in horror; the angels looked at each other at the same time, some got worried and some began to panic. They were not expecting the news, and what’s worst was it was an unexpected predicament, something they never heard for too many years, something that they never wanted to know at all, something that they never wished to encounter.
“Sorry to ask you this, archangel, but how certain are you that it is true? That a vampire is wandering around the human world when we all knew that no vampire existed already in the past thousand years,’’ Abu asked respectfully, as he opened his wings and sauntered toward Kram, bowed his head and knelt one knee before him and after few moments he lifted his eyes to Kram, serious and somewhat scary.
Abu was one of the great grim reapers, in fact the head if the grim reaper's empire, who collects the souls of the deaths, a male who has long white hair, full white eyes that you couldn’t even tell where he was staring at; he always wore a bright large black cloak, has a long scythe with blue flames around it, and most of all a huge black yet stunning wings, sometimes you found it creepy but his wings were unique compared to what we commonly imagine, it’s maybe dark and scary but some of them found it beautiful, lastly, there were always some black butterflies flying around him, they were the souls who were punished because of their sin that cannot be forgiven, and as punishment, they were turned into creepy black butterflies and became as the grim reaper’s slaves.
Kram’s face shifted in disappointment, as he announced the news to them, he knew that it was them, he and his men were the ones to blame for keeping everything about the only one vampire alive. But he only did it for the empire to avoid getting panic until they confirmed that the vampire was alive and do really exist, and that time came, he was indeed alive.
“It’s been thousand years,’’ he said in a weak voice, yet he seriously looked at them as he continued explaining, “There was a female human who married a vampire, who still managed to survive after the battle between angels and their pack and gave birth to a half human-half vampire, she saved her baby and left him into a human’s possession before we caught her. We tried all our best to find the baby, we even let some angels to become humans and searched the whole Earth, but we failed, we couldn’t track the one who adopted him, we didn’t even know if that human knew he’s a vampire. We waited for how many years to find if there was human sucking blood reported, but after searching for hundred years we never heard of him and thought that he might be killed by the human who adopted him or maybe he didn’t survive. And just today, after a thousand years of searching, we never expected that we would finally find him, there was a human died and we found out that he was killed by a vampire,’’ he clutched into his hands as his heart squeezed that he could hardly breathe, letting a vampire into the human world means danger between life and death for all creatures living in the Earth.
“What are we going to do now? He’s immortal, Kram, grim reapers would never have a chance to collect his soul, because we all knew that he will never die, NEVER!” Abu asked and all the angels stood quietly, still in surprise and desperately waiting for the Archangel’s answer.
He let out a heavy breath, “There is an only way to kill the vampire, Abu. You knew that there’s a way, don’t ever forget that,’’ he frowned and Abu gulped in fear, clearing his throat and stood up, he knew that only way, and he was against it. As a vampire, angels were also immortal but of course, there’s also a way to put an immortal to the fire of death, there was always a way to kill them no matter how immortal you knew they were.
Only an angel could kill a vampire, but to slaughter them also means putting their life to death as well. To kill a vampire an Angel would be thrown into the human world as a human being and kill them with their own blood, they need to let the vampire suck their blood or drink it. And since killing any living creature was forbidden to Angels, the punishment would be their life.
Although they were vampires and they only execute them to save humans, they had nothing to do, whether they like it or not, it’s like a curse in their blood. If an angel kills a living creature, they will soon go weaker and weaker each day, until they lose their breath, and no cure could save an angel from their death, NO CURE at all.
“That one way is too much, Kram. Don’t tell me that you are going to sacrifice an angel to kill him? They are innocent, Kram, and who would you send?’’ Abu asked and all angels were speechless, they were waiting for the Archangel to announce the name of the one that would be sent into the human world as a sacrifice.
After a moment of silence, Kram looked at the skies and sighed, “Then, what do you want me to do, Abu? We live to protect humans, we will do whatever we could do to save them, and I have no choice,’’ his low and trembling voice showed him some weakness. Abu knew that they really had no choice, that it was the only way that was left for them.
Abu’s heart pounded in pain as he gripped his scythe tighter.
“The decision was been made hours ago before I came here. I talked to the ones above about it and we came to the decision that Evangeline would be the one we will send to the human world…’’
All of the Angels and grim reapers widened their eyes in tremor when Kram proclaimed that he would send his own daughter to the human world to kill the vampire. They didn’t expect him to sacrifice his own blood, especially that Evangeline, was one of the greatest angels among them, a beautiful young lady, has a pure heart just like her father.
“Evangeline? Why her?” Zanea suddenly popped out in front of them, he was the one who loved and cared for Evangeline.
“Why not her?” Kram added to his speech as he turned his face to Zanea.
“It would hurt me if I am going to sacrifice other Angel and put my daughter in safe, it was selfish of me, besides my daughter agree as well instead of picking one of you,’’ he tried to explain but Zanea was trying to convince him to put him into the human world instead of her.
“I’m sorry, Zanea, the decision was been made, and also I will not put back my words to the ones above,” Kram explicated and frowned… he saw the pain in Zanea’s eyes and approached him, smiling with both worries and thankfulness to how Zanea felt for his daughter.
“Zanea, I know that you love my daughter, but she’s already in the Grim Reaper’s empire, I’m sure she would be in the human world minutes from now. Don’t worry she agreed with her future, it’s hard for me too, Zanea. I loved her more than you do, remember I am her father, I love her so much and she knows that,’’ he added and they had no words to say anymore, even if he desired to plead the above ones, he knew he was too late after all. He bowed his head and tears ran down his cheeks.
“I wonder what your daughter was doing to our empire, I saw her there before I left and went here, and I understand now… What if she didn’t remember anything before one hundred days and what if she didn’t find the vampire?’’ Abu asked in worry as he took a deep breath.
“I’m sure she would, Abu. She has a moon tattoo behind her neck it will light up when she’s near the vampire, she might not see it but she can feel it,’’ he explained.
“What will happen if she didn’t remember who she is?’’ a voice from Zanea caught Abu’s attention, he faced the guy and explained, “That’s a nice question, Zanea. To be thrown in the human world, you are given 100 days to remember who you are, and when she failed, she won’t have the chance to come back here, even after fulfilling her duty after a hundred days….” Abu paused and despite his serious glances, behind it was worried and fear…
“To kill the vampire, her body will feel weaker and weaker, and she will spend all her last breath in the human world and not here, only if she failed to remember who she was on time,’’ Abu explained it as slow as he could, and reading Zanea’s face he could scent something on him.
Kram was exhausted as he stood up near his window, watching the angels outside, he was frowning and felt broken, at the same time Evangeline needed to remember who she was. To be sent into the human world, all memories of an angel will disappear, it was the GOLDEN RULE of the empire. They only threw angels below when it committed a great sin, but Evangeline’s case was different, she was thrown there to saved human creatures yet it won’t save her to keep her memories. But Kram knew that his daughter will surely remember who she was. Although he was afraid that there might be a possibility that she won’t, yet he was still confident that she would and praying that there will be no more drops of blood would shed around the human world. And also, he hoped that the vampire won’t build an empire of his own, they won’t let that happen, that’s why he wished, that he gets killed as soon as possible or else many angels would need to sacrifice their selves.
CHAPTER 1 9 am at Vrykolakas’ Museum… People were busy on taking a tour in the museum, while the owner Blake was inside his office, on the fourth floor, he was in his seat and behind him were walls and door that was made by glasses, it has a balcony outside, for him to take a look what’s on the lower grounds, He could see every movement and people below him. He was gritting his teeth and trying hard to forget about sucking human’s blood, he was sad and worried. Pocco knocked to his office but no one was answering so he entered the office and saw him, quietly sitting on his chair, his head was leaning on his chair head-guide, and just looking at the ceiling, tapping his fingers on his lap, it was a sign of him being anxious about something. Pocco felt sorry for him, “Are you okay, Blake? It was only a self-defence,” Pocco said, his friend, trying to comfort him, yet he kept spacing out
CHAPTER 2 The maids were busy with Evangeline, they were in the living room with Evangeline, they were like kids who were playing dress-up to a doll, all of them admired her beauty and her skin, which was too soft and white. “Oh my gosh, you’re beautiful,’’ one of the maids, Claire, yelled in admiration as she hugged Evangeline, Blake laughed secretly as he watched the maids’ reactions to her look. Claire was enjoying braiding her hair while the other maids were worried what Blake’s reactions about it because Claire was too much into her. Claire was only an 18years old, and seeing Evangeline’s beauty sparkled her eyes that she wanted to see how can she turned her into a Goddess, and she was even applying make-up on Evangeline’s face. The maids tried to stop her, but when they saw how Evangeline slowly transformed into a Goddess, they were all praising and helping Claire, suggesting what color should they used for her eye-shadow. Blake coughed and all of
CHAPTER 3 It was 6 am in the morning. Blake was busy sipping his coffee as he walked towards the garden when he heard a giggling voice from behind him, and there he saw Claire and Evangeline outside, seating on the seat bank, putting their heads down the flowers, smelling and loving the fragrance coming through the flowers. “They look like best friends,’’ he whispered and he couldn’t take off of his eyes on them. No matter how much he tried to look away he ended up stealing gazes at them until it no longer a quick look but a long stare. He saw Claire comb Evangeline’s hair and freaked out the moment he remembered about her tattoo, so he immediately jumped on his feet towards them but he was too late, Claire was already braiding her hair and he was halfway near them. Claire's eyes looked at him in horror when she saw him running in a hurry towards them, his face was red, gasping as if he has just seen a ghost. “Sir, Blake… what
CHAPTER 4 At the time that Blake got home, he heard a sudden banging from the inside. He hurried to pull out his keys and opened the door just to found out darkness was eaten the whole room. “Why the hell the lights are off!’’ he said and his feet could feel something on the floor. He senses something unusual was happening. He switched on the lights and what popped out before his eyes was a mess, a mess you wouldn’t dare to imagine. The place was flooded by water and things were scattered on the ground. “What’s going on here?’’ he spoke to one’s mind and breathed heavily as he slowly entered the place, he thought that someone may be broke in, he was worried that something happened to the woman but he should be careful, the breakers might still be inside, then moment later he heard another bang from the kitchen. He tiptoed inside and saw the place was dark, when he roamed around, his eyes caught the only light lighting the place, and there he saw the woman in front of
CHAPTER 5 Veronica was busy cleaning her up while Blake did all the cleaning of the house. With his incredible speed, he could put back the way the things to where they were before in just a few minutes. Veronica went down the stairs, giggling which caught his attention… “Why are you laughing?’’ his husky voice asked as he looked in their directions, they were walking down the stairs. Veronica scanned his face, “Why are your woman’s clothes being all look like a doll dress?’ she smirked and chuckled escaped from Blake’s lungs the moment he looked at Evangeline. Clearing his throat, trying not to smile, “It was the previous maids’ fault… they treated her like a doll. Plus…” he looked at Veronica in a glare like a blade, sharped and fearless… He sighed and continues, “Take note, Veronica, she’s NOT… NOT my woman, as I told you I’m only interested about what she was,’’ he answered. “Well, couldn’t blame them, she really l
Flying down like a thunderstorm, which was impossible for an ordinary person to see him coming, Abu got in the entrance."Kram, it's been days yet we never heard about, Evangeline," Abu asked as he entered the Castle and walked too fast towards the Archangel immediately, and all the butterflies around him stayed near him, and looked afraid.Kram was busy and then frowned when he heard and saw Abu. He sighed and told the Guardians of the Castle to left him alone with Abu... The Guardians then nodded their heads and bowed down before leaving them.As Kram faced Abu, he responded to his question, "It's not yet too, late, Abu. There is still time, I know she can do it..." he explained yet Abu looked at the Archangel with despondency in his eyes."But what if she will only remember her duty after one hundred days?... Archangel, I know that you know already what I meant... are you not worried that she can not go back here? You won't even touch her before she di

Emerald began to felt troubled by how her heart reacted, how it pounded and what her mind was thinking but couldn't let out words to ask. Blake took a deep sigh and glanced back at her, "I must be crazy... You better get rest, Emerald," he said and lead her to her room. As Emerald watched him close the door, she was still bothered by the feeling she has inside. It was love but due to her condition, she couldn't understand the emotions she has at the moment. Playing the scenes inside her head, she felt joy and somehow an embarrassment. The next day, the moment she got out of her door, Blake was as well just came out his door and they were inches away from each other. Chapter 67 5 years later... "Blake," Evangeline shouted as she was chasing his 4 years old son. "Mommy, come and get me!" the child exclaimed. She run after him and the moment he got him, he tickled him on his tummy. Blake Jr. Laughed out loud. "Enough! Mommy! Enough!" he screamed, laughing. Evangeline kept on tickling him but she stopped when she heard the bell ring. She immediately help her son stand up and they went to the door. When she opened the door, there was a man who was in an army cut hair, tall and standing in front of her, smiling. "Abu," she whispered, it was the first time that she saw him in short hair. "Evangeline," he said and hugged her. "I missed you," she said. "Is this your son, Blake?" he asked and she nodded her head.

"Evangeline what happened.. are you..." he froze when he saw Zanea turning into a human on the floor and Evangeline was on the bed, crying out loud as Blake was slowly turning into ashes. "Blake, Zanea?" he whispered and couldn't believe what Zanea did. "Abu, he's gonna die!" Evangeline cried and he fell on his knees. But he managed to get up despite the pain he was inside him. "Abu," Blake smiled as his hands were slowly turning into ashes. "Please, Blake, don't die!" Abu said although he knew it was impossible. "Abu, take good care of Evangeline," he grinned and he teared up.
Chapter 65Abu's world was like rolling upside down, when Evangeline suddenly came to his room and told him about her baby being a human being."What?! Is that true?" he asked and she nodded, crying in pure happiness. He was glad after she said how she found out but he couldn't still believe that the prophecy was wrong. On the other hand, Blake was completely disturbed by how Evangeline suddenly reacted. He asked what was going on and Abu took all the courage to tell him everything, his duty, the prophecy, etc.Blake froze to find out that Abu was supposed to be his killer."Is that true, Evangeline?" he asked and Evangeline frowned, she didn't say a word but he knew that her silence means yes."I'm sorry, Blake," Abu said. He apologize and told him that it was hard for him as well to kill him."But it's your duty, I didn't want anyone else like Evangeli

Chapter 63Angel's EmpireKram was seating alone in his home, staring at nothingness and thinking deeply. He was worried about Abu, he didn't know what happened to him. It's been days since he went to the human world but the vampire was still alive and he didn't know what went wrong. He has a strong feeling that something happened, he has faith in him that he would not abandon his duty like his daughter, Evangeline did."Don't worry, Kram, everything will be alright," Xhagreb came in and he turned to face him."Old Xhagreb," he whispered and Xhagren smiled at him as he sauntered towards him."Worried?" he asked and Kram frowned. "Yes, I wonder what happened to Abu. If something happened between him and my daughter. I know it was a hard duty for him but I wished he didn't think of backing out. The time is going too fast and what if the prophecy will commence soon?" he sighed.
Chapter 62"Evangeline, let me explain," he said, frowning and he was frightened of what might happen to Evangeline again, what if she would pass out again."No, tell me, did you come here to kill Blake? Abu, you lied to me!" she exclaimed out loud, her voice was still shaking and she burst out tears, trying to calm down herself but she couldn't. She was panting and Abu was nervous and worried about her."Evangeline, please calm down, your baby," he whispered and Evangeline remembered her baby and held her tummy."Why did you lie to me?!" she cried and Abu held her hand."Let's talk about it inside," he

Do you really want to end our friendship before you go to that place? You'll be gone for months, and I'm sure you won't gonna reply to me if I'll text you like you're doing now. Pocco how can you be this hard!" she said. The first lines she said were already fine, she got him there not until the last words. He tried to calm down and turned aroun

Evangeline giggled and held his hands and got up."What do we have for breakfast?" she asked."Well, rice, sushi, miso soup, garlic butter Brazilian Steak, buttered chicken, some veggies, and lemonade for drinks," he proudly said as he winked at her."That's too much for breakfast," she said and he shrugged his shoulders."Well, I want you to eat more for our baby," he said and stared at her tummy."Aww, you hear that baby, your dad wants me to get fat," she joked and giggled.B

What are you feeling right now?" he asked and she tried to remember what happened, and when she recollected everything, she stared at Blake."I'm alright, I just felt dizzy, anyway, I'm glad you're here about what happened between me and Abu last night, please, it's just...""Shhh..." Blake hissed to cut her off as he placed his index finger on her lips and smiled."It's alright. I didn't want to talk about it anymore, let's forget about it," he smiled and Evangeline couldn't understand why Blake seemed to look happy and he was not mad at her anymore. She frowned, "Are you sure? Is that mean you forgiven Abu?" she asked.&nbs
