CHAPTER 8

Valentina was hoarding around her father and asking lots of questions which Nolan answered without holding back.

"Dad, I miss uncle and aunt when are they coming over to visit us again? Its been long they came over." Valentina said

"Princess, they will be coming back today. I just spoke to your uncle Miles and he is coming with aunt, Ryan as well as Sophie." Nolan said

Hearing that Valentina's eyes lit up

"Really? Where are they? Are they almost here?" She asked again

"Yes dear, they are and they will be coming over to celebrate your birthday party with you." Nolan said

"Yes!!! I can't wait to see my prince charming again, I miss him." Valentina said happily

"Hm... you really do like him, don't you kiddo?" Avery asked

"Yes mum, I do. He is my best friend... Oh dad what did you get for..." Valentina said but was interrupted

"Come on darling, give your father a breathing space and come help out with the cookies." Avery said

"Okay mum..." Valentina replied and hurriedly ran towards the kitchen.

While making the food in the kitchen she sighted her father and she called on him saying,

"Dad, come in here, come see what we are making."

"Cooking again, princess?" Nolan asked he really is so fond of his daughter, and because of this, he never gets tired of her questions and childish ways.

"Yes dad, I am getting better at making lovely meals, mum said I am the best cook ever." Valentina said

"I have no doubts, you learned from the best, my princess." Nolan said winking at his wife, while the latter chuckled

"Taste this, come on please open your mouth dad." Valentina said

"Okay *opens mouth* hm delicious you made this yourself?" Nolan asked looking surprised he knew his daughter was good at helping out in the kitchen and always diligent in whatever she sets her mind into, but never imagined she would take after her mother's cooking skills at that young age.

"Yes dad, I did." Valentina said with her hands akimbo

"Wow!! My daughter is the best chef ever." Nolan said commending and patting her head, little Valentina wouldn't stop smiling...

"Honey could you go welcome our guests, I still have a lot to fix in here." Avery said after sensing some people had already arrived.

"Okay dear... Valentina keep some cookies for me." Nolan said and took a cookie and dashed out.

Valentina and Avery both giggled seeing him that way.

"Hey... Welcome, welcome." Nolan said as he got to the door and sighted his best friend and family.

"Nolan my buddy, so good to see you again, I missed you." Miles said as they both hugged

"Maddie dear, welcome, you look radiant as always." Nolan said

"Oh dear Nolan you flatter me." Madison said as they hugged

"Uncle..." Ryan and Sophie who were behind yelled out excitedly and hugged Nolan

"Oh my handsome man look how much you have grown, you are much taller than I am... and you my Sophie so cute." Nolan said

"Thank you, uncle." Sophie said, as soon as she said that, she saw a butterfly and ran out to play with it.

"Uncle... where is aunt and Valentina?" Ryan asked

"They are both in the kitchen baking, I'll go get them." Nolan said

"I'll come with you." Madison said and followed Nolan into the kitchen.

"Maddy oh my! you are here." Avery said

"Yes sweetie, I missed you." Madison said and hugged her

"Aunt..." Valentina said and ran into her arms

"Oh my Angel, happy birthday in advance my birthday girl." Madison said patting the young girl

"Thank you aunt..." Valentina said

"Speaking of birthday, why is my birthday girl covered in flour?" Madison asked with furrowed brows

"I made nice cookies." Valentina said pointing to her cookies

"Whoa!!You did? These looks delicious." Madison complimented

"Yes aunt, look at this one it's chocolate cookies... mum said she'll bake a gigantic chocolate cake." Valentina said

"That's nice, yay!! can't wait... alright go change your outfits. Since aunt is here she will take your space." Madison said

"Okay aunt." Valentina said and ran off towards her room

"Ginger, could you please go help her change into her outfit? I and Madison will take it from here." Avery said to their maid

"Yes Luna Avery." Ginger replied and ran after the little girl who was full of life and energetic.

Ginger got into Valentina's room and found the young girl in front of her closet with her index finger on her chin and the other hand akimbo looking at her closet so intently.

Seeing her this way Ginger laughed out heartily.

Valentina turned looking surprised so she said

"Aunt Ginger?"

"Someone is trying to look good for someone, I dare to think who." Ginger said

"Aunt Ginger... I am not." Valentina said stammering

"Oh I know you want to look good for your prince charming." Ginger said

"Well, mom always looks good and dresses beautifully when she and dad goes out. So I want to wear a beautiful dress, help me aunt Ginger." Valentina said

"Hm fine... Well to find a beautiful dress we must say the magic words, and what does your mum always say?" Ginger said

"Dress to kill..." They both said and laughed out loud.

"Come on let's get this flour off your face and get you into a beautiful dress." Ginger said

"Okay aunt..." Valentina said

So Ginger led her to the bathroom and freshened her up. After which she led her to the closet and brought out a pink top and a white short and pink shoes.

"Wow!! Look at you, now that's my angel you look beautiful." Ginger said

"Thank you aunt Ginger." Valentina said smiling

"Alright you go play with your friends they are waiting for you." Ginger said

"Okay, bye aunt." Valentina said and quickly raced down the stairs

Ryan who was busy looking at his phone saw a chubby looking girl walking close to her and smiling.

"Hi Ryan..." Valentina said

"Hey, Valentina. I missed you." Ryan said and they both hugged each other

"Tell me, do you like my outfit?" Valentina asked

"But of course I do, you look beautiful." Ryan said

"Thank you." Valentina replied smiling

"My pumpkin..." Miles said as soon as he saw her

"Uncle..." Valentina ran into Miles' arms the older man lifted her up in his arms and said

"Look how well you've grown."

"Yes... I will be twelve soon uncle." Valentina said

"Oh look at you, nice... My cute baby doll is all grown up now." Miles said happily

"Uncle did you get me some gifts?" Valentina asked

"But of course I did, but I will give it to you later." Miles said

"Yay!!!" Valentina said happily

"Princess why don't you go and play with Ryan, your uncle and I have something to discuss." Nolan said

"Okay dad." Valentina said and ran towards Ryan who had sat down going through some things on his phone

"So, what are you doing?" Valentina asked with her little voice curious...

"Nothing." Ryan lied

"Liar, you are lying, I want to see." Valentina said

"Fine, here..." Ryan said and showed her what he was doing.

"Can I play? How do I do that?" Valentina asked with happiness

"You just click on the three shapes that has same colours and you are done." Ryan said

When they were done playing games, they both ran out to have some fun in the fields.

Sitting down on a fallen tree, Ryan asked

"Where is your horse?"

"I lent it to Sophie, look over there." Valentina said

Ryan's sister Sophie was busy playing with the animals and Ryan shook his head.

Most Packs have stables so since Sophie couldn't come along with her horse, Valentina's had to make up for it.

The day finally came for little Valentina's birthday with the help of their most loyal maid Ginger, she was dressed in a nice pink fluffy gown and wore a crown that highlights that she was the queen of the day. She was of course the only daughter and child of the Hudson's.

"Aunt Ginger, I love this dress do you think Ryan my prince charming will love it?" Valentina asked

"But of course, why wouldn't he? You are the most beautiful in all of the land..." Ginger replied

Just then Avery and Nolan came into the room and saw their daughter looking so gorgeous

"Wow!!" Nolan exclaimed

"That's my baby girl..." Avery said

"Dad... mum" Valentina yelled and hugged them both

"Careful now, you don't want to ruin your hair now do you?" Avery said

Valentina shook her head signifying a 'No' and everyone chuckled

"Happy birthday my darling..." Avery said

"Happy birthday my princess." Nolan said and pecked her on her forehead

"Thank you mum and dad..." Valentina said smiling

So after pecking her they all went downstairs to meet their guests, those who cared to attend.

"Your Majesty what a surprise!" Nolan said bowing down

"I didn't know I would be here, well since your child with Avery is celebrating, I think it would be best if I attended." Lilith said

"Thanks for coming your Majesty we are honoured to have you here with us." Nolan said

"So where is the celebrant?" Lilith asked

"She'll be down soon." Avery said and smiled

"My beloved Avery, looking good as always." Lilith commended and hugged her

"Thank you your Majesty, please come with me." Avery said and guided her to a seat.

Everyone who came for the birthday were waiting downstairs since it was just a small party filled with their close allies and friends.

Valentina came down and everyone began singing the birthday song

After they were done a huge chocolate cake with candles that were well lit was brought forward and she blew them out making a silent wish.

Everyone clapped and was elated, it was a joyous day for everybody. After eating their share of the cake they began conversing with one another. After a while they began dispersing to their various places of abode.

"Your Majesty save journey back home." Madison said

"You too my dear." Lilith said

"Your Majesty, do stay safe, okay?" Avery said

"When have I never?" Lilith said and they chuckled she then added "Take very good care of Valentina, she has a great future ahead of her."

"I will, thank you for coming." Avery said

"Trust me when I say, I wouldn't miss it." Lilith said and they both went outside walking hand in hand.

Avery escorted Lilith to her car and then she bid her friend bye and entered into it the car and her entourage drove her home.

After the whole place that was packed a while ago was empty, Nolan Hudson and his beloved wife Avery as well as Miles Walker and his wife Madison decided to engage in a conversation. They were staying the rest of the day so there was no rush.

"Ryan go spend some time with the birthday girl." Madison said

"Of course mum." Ryan said and ran upstairs to Valentina's room

The four adults then began talking amongst themselves

"You know, I think our Ryan is mated to your daughter." Madison said

"How could that be? I just think its a childish stuff." Nolan said

"I don't think it is, do you remember what happened when she was born?" Avery said

"Yeah it was surprising but it was maybe she found solace from that." Nolan said

"What about Ryan who doesn't communicate with girls his age from school asides from his sister but is always smiling and laughing heartily with dear Valentina? I am even surprised he still talks to her because he shies away from girls his age. I personally think that to be the case." Miles said stating facts

"Well I hope what we are suggesting comes true because they will make a wonderful couple and become great rulers." Nolan said

"Yeah, I am sure of that part. May the moon goddess grant us this wish." Avery said

"It would be the best thing ever for our families joined together in marriage and we'll then be in-laws I can't wait." Madison said

"Well, I want them to end up together dear Madison because I can't imagine our beloved daughter be mated to some random stranger or from an enemy pack. It will be a big deal for our beloved pack and I personally will feel like beetles are crawling all over me." Avery said

"Avery? Haha... Well then we better start praying for that to the goddess." Nolan said

"Yeah, moreover next year Ryan would be eighteen (18) we need to move fast before then, cause once she isn't his mate which I doubt, I might as well die." Madison said

And the couples all laughed heartily...
