Gwen packed the food nicely in the basket, and I placed the slacks on it. She did not want to let me go, but I knew I could not stay any longer than I already had.

"We will return as soon as we are done. Meanwhile, I need you to be vigilant here. Remember to check the monitor in our home office to see what is going on outside the house," I told her, and she nodded. She kissed me again, and I stepped out. I shifted, and she helped me with the handle of the basket. Lifting the basked with my jaws, I headed towards the woods to meet Marcus.

I arrived at the location and found Marcus there, still staring at the corpses. I laid the basket down, and we both shifted back to our human forms. I handed him his slacks and wore mine.
