As I lay on the cold floor, the world around me began to blur, the pain of my uncle’s words mixing with the sting of my tears. I could hear the rustling of papers and the low murmur of voices as Dirk returned to his seat, the heaviness of his presence pressing down on me like a stone. Beta Knight sat across from him, a grim expression etched into his features, and I knew they were about to discuss my fate.

“Let’s talk about the punishment,” Dirk said, his voice steady but laced with venom. “This insolence cannot go unpunished. Talon needs to learn that there are consequences for his actions.”
