As he finished speaking, a gust of wind swept past my face, and I was suddenly propelled back onto the bed. My eyes widened as I took in my surroundings, the reality of my situation crashing over me. I am back. The sterile scent of antiseptic filled my nostrils, and the harsh fluorescent lights flickered above me. Panic surged through my veins as I blinked against the brightness, my heart pounding in my chest. The first name that tumbled from my lips was a desperate whisper, “Virgil!”

In an instant, adrenaline-fueled my movements, and I tore the vital tubes from my arms, ignoring the sharp pain as I stumbled out of bed. My body felt weak, but the burning desire to see him again propelled me forward. I ran through the hallways of the Pack’s hospital, my heart racing with excitement and hope. I could almost hear his laughter ringing in my ears, his touch warming my skin.

Behind me, the nurses shouted and urged me to stop, but I ignored their pleas. D
